For bob's melody at 0:34, are you barring your finger on the 12th fret? Because I am and I feel like it might be a bad habit for me. what do you think?

on the beginning of Bobs part when you slide from the 10th fret to the 12th fret on the D string then play the G on the 12th fret , when your playing it im hearing a extra note/s that's not in the tab and I don't know what it is your doing exactly. but it sounds right. this is before you play D 12f. B12f. to B10f. I don't know I followed your instruction and studied the tab something is different the way your playing it.

Thanks for watching, Frank! I think I may know what's going on. The transcription is of Bob's part from Europe '72, and as I'm watching it back, I'm coming in a half beat later than what's written on the tab. So, I think what you're hearing is the 12 frets on the 4th, 3rd, then 4th strings in a quick succession. I'll look through it again later tonight when I'm around my guitar, but see if that straightens things up for you. And you can hear from me coming in slightly late, that you can come up with a number of slight variations of this lick and it all works. In fact, that's exactly what the Dead did, instead of playing it exactly the same way every time.

@@WeepingWillowGuitarLessons I'm having difficulty getting the timing of this lick, any tips you could give on counting it would be appreciated.

How could this only get 107 likes? Shows that people are more interested in how you dress and flashy graphics than they are in good information. Sad.
