By the time my orders are all delivered, I will own four Mavic 1 Pros, two Mavic 2 Pros, one Air 1, one Air 3, and three Phantom 3 Standards. My days of crashing drones due to pilot error are long gone, so these museum-piece drones will remain airworthy for a decade to come. My preference for older drones is due to my being broke as a church rat but also because the older DJI drones are immune to the sort of restrictions that are currently being used to hobble DJI's newer drone models It is sad to see that a failing drone company called Skydio has been able to leverage bribe money paid to Congresswoman Stefonobitch and her ilk, to trigger an outright ban on DJI drones without the need to offer a shred of corroborating evidence that would substantiate the wild and baseless allegations being made against DJI on behalf of failing US-based drone company Skydio.

I believe this is for anti-competitive reasons. I love DJI. They make some of the best products and drone technology in the world. And they are virtually the best of the best. There are very few other drones that can even come close to what DJI can do. So I really hope DJI comes out on top for this. Although I'm in Canada so it doesn't really matter. But I have like three DJI drones. And I love them. They're also forgetting that DJI started off as an American and a Chinese company. It wasn't purely started in China. As there was an American that owned shares in the company as well. There isn't anymore. But still. DJI is it trustworthy company. They do everything by the book. They do everything that they should be doing. So I don't know why they're giving the company such a hard time. And DJI technology has saved many lives in emergency services and law enforcement applications to which it's still widely used in North America.

I have seen zero evidence in any of the hearings I watched. I did see Skydio CEO whining about fair competition. Stefanik obviously has been either paid off or knows something she is not sharing. It would be nice to see a panel of drone experts such as yourself and Bardwell testify on this Chinese drone stuff and how it would impact the USA. I for one am very much considering going into AG drones as a new industry to be a part of. DJI is the obvious leader here with the best price to performance and support by a HUGE margin. No other company even comes close. On top of that I would not even need to learn how to fly it because just like everything DJI everything is basically the same. It is pretty shameful that Republicans in Congress have gone this direction due to the impact of small biz in the USA. Yes we need USA drones. But right now there is none. Maybe Rotor Riot and some other companies jumping into the world of DOD will get the funding needed to develop solid US made alternatives. I think these laws gained momentum because they sound great to other lawmakers who are entirely uneducated in drone use with the exception of war.

Given the fact that China only has the premise for drone technology based on the drones that were captured during the Iraqi war, if you don’t believe me read, the book called DARPA by Annie Jacobson, and it explains how these advanced technologies explored and created within the private sector of the United States military, once used in combat become utilized in a different fashion by the enemy and I don’t think China is the enemy because in geopolitics every country is the enemy potentially lol but at the same time, it is very apparent that our own government, the United States government possessed such Approaches towards the current drone technology of DJI and did not want those release to the public if it wasn’t for DJI and China, then our drones even here in the United States would still be secret and locked up in the private sector, i’m simply stating that the United States government does not want its citizens to have accessibility to such things as advanced drones like some of these advanced DJI drones strictly for the potential they fear they may be used in an nefarious manner, but at the same time, the reality of the efficiency that these drones are adding to the system in such things alone as search and rescue, I mean alone in search and rescue these drones are a game changer. given this whole game and rays that have been going on truly indicates approve to the realization that all our government, even if it had some of the advanced settings on some of the newer DJI drones would never want this technology to be in the public, it is 100% apparent that our government does not want its citizens to have accessibility individually to such capabilities as some of these drones can provide and strictly out of the potential they’ve fear they may be used in a bad way., but they’re in lies. The ultimate dilemma is that our advanced system and the perpetuation of our progress as a civilization does include these Quadro pod automated drones, but at the same time we live in a world where our government wants to treat us all like little baby children that are not responsible for anything simply because there are a few dumbasses out there so with all this being said anyone that’s reading this, I would like you to truly follow all the rules of drone flight and piloting to further secure a more sound drawn based technology type civilization. After few months or a year if this ban will hold US drone pilots and hobbyists will fall so far behind in this technology while pilots and hobbyists in all other countries will keep on getting the fastest developing. This ban is only doing harm to US users for no reason at all, they are forcing US consumers using another technology that will not give them close to what DJI can and will offer in the future. All this just because some lobbyists are doing some personal favour for few friends so they can get more money because they are falling so far behind in this technology and can’t compete with DJI technology.

No that is not correct. As of today. Current owners will be grandfathered in and can continue to fly. HOWEVER, this could change in a instant. Sort of. It would take a lot to ground all DJI drones. The impact of trying to affect the frequencies DJI drones use would be very difficult. i.e. Jamming. That could impact more than DJI drones.
