Should a Powerful country need to protect any small country, it needs to : 1) Supply superior Arms and Ammunition, taking into consideration the enormity of the enemy. 2) An excellent Logistic Plan. 3) Superior Intelligence & Analysis; and, Most Important to disseminate it through the ranks according to their designations and see to it that it is really understood and then executed accordingly with precision & accuracy. 4) Continuously monitor for external situational dynamics. I could be wrong but the rhetoric/threats that are coming from China run right smack into what the US and our allies what has loosely been called the "Hitler doctrine". It is basically the thought that at any time there is some authoritarian dictator who's power and will is absolute in their own country (or anyone else who has power and act in ways similar to Hitler which is almost always some kind of authoritarian dictator) tries to expand their power/influence by taking over other countries, then the US (and anyone willing to work with us) must do everything within our power to stop the expansion of their power even if it means going to war with them. The basic idea of this is that when the US and or other countries start trying to "kowtow" in any way to such a aggressive ruler it just serves to embolden them and encourage them to become more and more aggressive. I don't know if anyone in the Chinese communist party is aware of the "Hitler doctrine" and that it is a given that those in power in the US and many of our allies will try to match Chinese aggression with their own aggression since it seems those in power in the CCP think that if they become more and more aggressive that at some point we will just knuckle under, which I think is a given that we know better than to EVER down that after what we experienced in WWII with Hitler and Japan. Also there is no reason for the US/our allies to knuckle under if you are already have the strongest military in the world, which we didn't exactly have back in WWII. I think Winston Churchill pointed out such issues pretty well when he said “You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth”. Another comment during the Cold War era that addresses this such a problem basically sums it up "Better dead then Red", or perhaps it also could be worded better dead then have to live under the rule of any authoritarian dictator whomever they may be. In the past those that ruled China opted to try to gain power patiently and quietly often without having to seem likely they were being aggressive. It may actually be a blessing that China is not behaving in such a way anymore since it is easier to see what they truly are after when they do act aggressively and no longer want to bother with the old slow quiet calculating that they use to. My best guess as to why they are no longer doing this is because they feel that they are so powerful that they no longer have to be as careful as they use to be.

I am from Papua New Guinea and I am against the Western Countries who have colonized us but left no tangible infrastructure such as good roads connecting the whole Island. The colonisers have exploited our resources and us as a people with a poor education system. Many third world countries want to aligned with China to lift them out of poverty as China did to her citizens through better infrastructure in less than 50 years.There were 800 million people lifted out of poverty. Look at the good roads and railroads with introduction of bullet trains in Africa. Chinese are meeting the real needs of the people which was denied to us by West. The Chinese government is exciting and attractive for the third world countries as they can build better infrastructure and help us swim out of poverty. They are already proofing to the third world. The democracy and military needs are not our priority but development to lift us out of poverty is one that we are interested with China. The temptation to accept China and sign certain agreements either economic or military or policing is greater as they can answer with no wasted time. It is easy to get into China than into Australia. Chinese government is providing more educational opportunities and offering more scholarships than Australia.

One of the primary questions and observations from Canada is are countries allowed to enact and support their own internal wishes or are outside interests being allowed to interfere in certain circumstances? If one looks at a map American military bases surround China but you won't find all media mentioning this. It's a very real part of the story. In the last 20 years as a result of access to the World Wide Web, I am extremely reserved about how governments work in the Free World. I'm not looking for disagreement word debate on my next statement. The Chinese government is the largest crime syndicate in the world, by far. They already have a foothold in America, Canada, Russia and Australia and Rising industrial countries like Brazil, Columbia Venezuela. But the citizens of these countries are just going along and are not as engaged as we could be. When it's gone, democracy, and any Republic of a Sovereign Nation, will be reeled back greatly.

All you have to do is to watch the Chinese news on CGTV in English to grasp how the Chinese is pulling ahead of Australia in many realms. These guys are in the spying game years late. In 1978 I led a group of 28 Australians. This was before tourism was allowed. And we got an eyeful. No one bothered to debrief any of us upon our return. I spent three years watching Chinese TV exclusively 2018-the end of 2021. By mid-December 2019 the pandemic was there for all to see: the time lapse building of hospitals, doctors and nurses in a state of collapse, etc. By February 2020 there were the real time press conferences with English translation including the exposure at one point of something China didn’t want other governments to know. The translator was pulled and another one shoved in in her place. Where were the Five Eyes? I doubt monitoring TV or they would have been better prepared.
