This is one of those many villages built, run and maintained by the government in China. They are not the ordinary villages that we know and think. These villages are for tourism, and many are a success, while a number failed, and this one is one of those that unfortunately did not succeed. There are no people living in this kind of villages, not youth, no young people, almost all inhabitants are elderly, because the young people migrated to big cities.
