Huh? How can there be deflation with the supply of dollars always rapidly growing?

The president has 2 indirect influences - he nominates he FED chair and he can actually reorganized and remove duplicate departments and also work with congress to cut spending and he can actually put up a lot of road blocks to budget approval and while he cannot redline anything he can slow walk it.

If I were a developing country I'd rather be in debt to chiba over the west any day. At least with chiba debt you get a port, power station, highway or train line. With western debt you just get interest and lectures.

@@UneducatedEconomist Not exactly. If you look at infrastructure projects in India under British Empire rule they were done explicitly to extract capital. Resources were simply taken at gunpoint. The US model is to legitimise it by loans the country did not need to build infrastructure it did not really want and when the loans for this convoluted project inevitably defaulted they used eg IMF to take control (Confessions of an economic hitman). China has been more straight up, we want resources and we are prepared to build the infrastructure for it. It has significantly less overall control than the other two systems. Best wishes from the UK.

You obviously haven't watched videos on how bad construction failures happening. China is in big trouble but so is the rest of the world. Major recession coming to the US probably worse for China. If not depression world wide.

My opinion is that we are in the 4th turning and the war this time is economic. The war started around Christmas 2019 and a new economic landscape in the process of being created after the US won.

Thanks! Good topic. My question is, what is China. With many Chinese born millionaires leaving China to live in America, “what is China”. then it leaves middle class in China being taxed or tax poor and work more. I think China is following the play by British Empire that covered a third of the globe but no one assimilate like an English Man in New York A candle is not as gold, but if like a barter as in issued fiat and it is lit in the day then it has negative interest rate when needed in the night for productivity.

Bullwhip in inelastic markets take longer and as a result store more energy when the whip comes around. Housing is the ultimate inelastic bullwhip

I have an idea. The raising if standard and luxury is mostly the government that does it. In safety law, permit, control, high standard of construction. Project cost 5x the price of 20 years.

Could you pls share references to sources you're referring too. For instance, 1) China recently became the 2nd largest holder of US debt. If they wanted $ they could sell the bonds. 2) They have arnd 900$ billion trade surplus. Since $ is the currency for trade, a lot of those would be in $. 3) Why is it that when US does something not so good it's justified n if China does the same is outright bad. The IMF, led by US had debt trapped many nations. Name countries which have been trapped by China ? Offcourse, if countries can't pay debt then further discussions r reqd to decide the path forward. Doesn't this contradict what you're saying ? Thanks for sharing ur views.

People were crying foul when America did it too. Go check out the book "Confessions of an Economic Hitman". Look at how China is using the US's poor treatment of South American countries to flood the US with immigrants. The interests of the rulers and the interests of the people are not the same interests. China will be flooded with cheap labor from Africa to help pay back debts. I don't mind controlling Africa if they can do it peacefully and efficiently, best of luck to them. But watch, China will import migrants from Africa to break up the peaceful cohesion of the people. They are copying the US, it won't be good for their citizens.
