@@demolast9128 Both are true, actually. Check out the recent videos where countries like Vietnam are chasing rogue Chinese fishing trawlers who illegally sneak into their fishing grounds at night. Reportedly because overfishing has been so rampant in China that practically nothing's left. The fishermen are just trying to make a living, so it's hard to blame them, but they're creating an empty wasteland in the process.

Everything is made for a price, if the price is high enough, they can make pretty much anything with good quality. But domestically, at domestically owned factories selling and distributing domestically, everything is literal trash. But they don`t want to lose their exports to western companies, so their exports tend to be of much higher quality, AS LONG AS it`s given a decent budget. Western companies give them a budget and a set of specifications, it can be and is currently being made within a full range of qualities, including high quality.

China fabricates all their socio-economic numbers (GDP, income, debt, unemployment, poverty rate, Covid deaths, flood deaths, traffic deaths, crime rates, so on) to look much better than the reality. One should realized that by now. A country with severe environmental pollution, serious food safety issues, weak healthcare system especially for the poor and rural, poor safety practices, hundreds of cancer villages, many big natural/man-made disasters. It was also found that immigrants from mainland China have the highest levels of heavy metals in their blood than other groups. While life expectancy in the U.S. declined slightly during the Covid epidemic, in China it is still going up. Undoubted so many died in China that all their crematoriums operating 24/7 cannot keep up and their volumes are fordidden to be published. China's life expectancy is a joke.

What gets me is, they teach unscrupulous people what to do. Who may not have known how to do it before. If also love to know the difference between real cavier and fake.

traditional caviar comes from beluga sturgeon, but just about any variety of sturgeon can be said to produce caviar. there's also vegetable caviar (since vegans ruin everything), and then there's real fake caviar which is likely what they're making in china, using the spherification technique (molecular gastronomy) where you use chemicals and chemical reactions to make a product that's similar to fish eggs.

My cousin Wang Peen in China bought 59kg of scallops. When he went home to eat it he realised it was made of sawdust and cardboard. As a builder he then used it to build some sub standard apartments to scam another person.

Going to a restaurant where they serve pre-made frozen foods is perfectly fine, as long as the food is "real" (real scallops, real roe, etc). Most food in restaurants are pre-made at some level... most noodles are frozen to noodle shops... similar in America, hamburger patties are often frozen to mid-level restaurants, pre-made cheese, and pre-made bread. However, if it's a true fake food, then that's bad.

In the US a lot of scallops are just punched out pieces of sharkmeat. But they are cheaper and the taste and texture isn't bad. If you like the taste and price what difference doe's it make?

"mixed with vegetables to raise the price of the dish" Yikes. Even something like vegetables RAISES the price instead of reducing it on a average price/amount of food per dish basis then that's a bad sign.
