For Dai writings everywhere, it is not actually about making sure all Dai people understand them. It is actually law in China that in ethnic minority autonomous regions corresponding writings need to be correctly visibly placed. Also, if you check RMB cash bills, you will find at least 5 languages with others from most populous ethnic minorities, such as Tibetan, Mongolian.

What are u talking about. The logic Is the law made for shops so minorities can understand not just put them there. Especially Uyghur language, Tibetan or Mongolian … u think they can understand Chinese signs ?😢

hahahaha, your new friend is indeed a bargaining master… good for you! i bet it made your trip more enjoyable 😊 also on the note of the local language, it’s true that in every autonomous region in China,there would be minority languages written everywhere. it’s to respect every ethnic minority culture and language.

LOVE YOUR "老外“ shirt! Yunnan coffee is one of the most affordable i think. Their prices are not as high as foreign specialty coffees, but they are very suitable for the tastes of East Asians.The coffee in Hainan is also very good

Haha thanks, so many people say it as I pass them on the street I thought I might as well embrace it. I had a chance to sample some coffee in Hainan, definitely agree with you!

That coffee looks very special and meal content does not look typical Chinese food at all. China minority culture is so fascinating. This could a good series to explore since there are 55 officially recognized minority races in China.

I thought the same thing myself! I spent new years with a Wa family, visited a bu Lang village, stayed with a Zhuang family in a little village, visited yuanyang rice terraces managed by Hani people, currently in a town called Puzhehei with a large Yi population. A lot of videos coming up, takes a while for me edit 😂

@@thejourneyofjake almost all westerners made China videos on infrastructure, food and amazing city building and technology applied to daily life. None on the minority life and culture in China! Minority in China are so different than the Han Chinese culture and being protected and preserve well. This is precisely why they are so interesting to visit. Thank you for sharing this discovery…

one more thing to say, I highly recommend you have a visit to 武夷山(which is my hometown, located in northern part of Fujian), great mountain sights and tea culture over there, since you said you like mountains as you took your Chinese name, I think you definitely gonna like it. about 4 hours by bullet train, from xiamen to there. trust me man, definitely gonna worth it.

@@thejourneyofjake I've actually got a plan to travel Perth after my graduation which will be one year later, I noticed that you've been travel around Australia before you came here in your former video, what would you say about Perth?
@thejourneyofjake
@thejourneyofjake 5 ай бұрын
Great choice! I spent a fair bit of time in Margaret River, it's beautiful down there a couple hours from Perth. Beautiful beaches everywhere, pretty relaxed vibe, if a bit expensive. Perth itself is a great city too, if you have a bit of extra time I would recommend a road trip up to Exmouth, the coast is stunning the whole way up and the Ningaloo reef is more well preserved and flourishing with sealife than the great barrier Reef it seems. I'm envious! Enjoy
