First impression, it looks like a miniature X-Box Series X. Controllers look standard PS3 clones. If you consider how much these retro games cost in the past, to have an SD rom hack and run hundreds of games is great for nostalgia. The reason for the no X-box controllers is to save on plastic; the PS controllers are smaller. I noticed as well how they recreated the X, so people know it's trying to copy the logo. The best feature is the sound that comes from the actual console and I guess the green light feature. It's ok for what it is....good to buy for a seasonal holiday with family.

For the price, that 3036 could be a lot worse. It's 1 GHz, 2 Cores/ 2 Threads, supports 256 MB ram, up to 2 GB DDR3-1066/DDR3L-1066 @ 533 MHz .. The chip was first released 10 years ago!! 256K Cache. The GPU is the ARM Mali 400 MP1, w 500 MHz "Boost" and 210 MHz "Base". It's interesting because I'm SURE they said it supports "4K", but 1920 x 1080@30fps is its max resolution. The 3328 and 3238 blow it away by almost 100%. If this is a newer system, I guarantee that they were offered a HUGE discount on the 3036's just to get them out of Rockchip's inventory. I think the real issue (because we all understand their marketing, and merchandizing at this point) is the way the emulation front end software is installed. There's NO reason why they couldn't pop their front end on there, make the menu's logical, and give it some more configuration options. I think that as a novelty, or for somebody that just wants some casual old school fun, these are great. Don't have a lot of money to spend on the kids, but want them to have at least SOMETHING to play? They're perfect. They are NOT meant for me, you, or anyone that has been involved with emulation for any real time at all. We cannot continue to trash 20$ boxes for not giving 60fps at 4k.

Super Famicom/SNES is the first console I've trialed. Few weeks later, it was Mega Drive/Genesis turn. First computer I've had was Spectrum 48k, after which I've got my hands on C64.

The one I got when I first heard of these is way better. It's called King something.. but I played it on a few times and then put it away. It was over a hundred and not five hundred and it has way more games and systems on it. This looks like a seventy dollar item max. They really robbed you.

There is no way he paid 500$ for this. He's been doing this for a very long time, and would never ever spend 500$. I think what he's getting at is that the company tried to utilize the "Xbox Series X" branding to some extent...Which comes from a 500$ machine. He has WAY too much experience to be fooled. I disagree with his style, and how he trashes low end cheap boxes, but he's not a fool, and he is incredibly experienced when it comes to these boxes. I personally think he's WAY too experienced, and needs to take a break. I guarantee he's burned out on em, and has a mountain of a thousand of these just sitting there. You probably have Kinhank's Super Console X King. It's a really high end box compared to other "TV Box" emulation systems. They're still selling for over 150$ I am sure that if you did a search for that video review, you would find the exact one. I BELIEVE it's a S922x with 6 (or 8 Cores) like.. 4GB of ram (if memory serves me right) and it has a green alien head on the top of it. You could get it with 64, 128, or 256 GB Cards, with up to about 100k games on it. It actually emulates things really well (in my opinion) including Sega Saturn, Gamecube, and so on. You should get it out and play it! It blows away pretty much everything you will see here, except the mini PC boxes.
