I noticed that, on the SY locos, there is a steam jet coming out about twice per second with a sound like Pshh-Pshh ... Pshh-Pshh... Cannot be confounded with the sound of steam from the cylinders that turn the wheels. Anybody knows what this is from? Air compressor? Else?

Walschaerts gear, lifting injectors, box pox wheels, turbo generators, dual pops, cross compound pumps, built up USRA style trailing trucks AND roller bearings on the freight cars- with a little change here and there it could be America in 1948!
