In just 14 minutes, you can get to Futian station in Shenzhen from Hong Kong! Instead of staying in shopping malls, I visited 2 ancient towns in Shenzhen. Gankeng and Nantou!
Gankeng Hakka Ancient Town is a picturesque village in Shenzhen's Longgang District. Known for its well-preserved ancient buildings and Hakka heritage, it showcases Shenzhen culture and customs. Explore attractions like Nanxiang Building and Gankeng Cannon Tower, and don't miss the traditional Hakka Cool Hat making.

Metro: Line 10 Gankeng Ancient Town B Exit, walk straight for 10 minutes

Nantou Ancient Town, also known as Xin'an Ancient Town, is a historical treasure in Shenzhen's Nanshan District. Built in 1394, it served as a defense post and later became a government center. Explore its attractions like Guandi Temple and Dongguan Chamber.
Don't miss the panoramic view from the top of Nanshan District's Labor Bureau Building. Enjoy the rich history and architecture of Nantou Ancient Town!
Address: 2 Nantou Jiaochang, Shennan Boulevard, Nanshan District, Shenzhen.
Metro: Line 1, Taoyuan Station, Exit B, 5-minute walk.
