Less carbon fibre for a lower price, some colour, a better interior and they might be onto something. Not Elliot’s finest review stumbling over the power figure, incorrectly describing the doors and failing to really get it onto some open roads to give it some! China really need to do something in the EV world like Datsun did with the 240Z in the US in the 70s. The MG Cyberster isn’t it and neither is this but 🤞

@@JTM610 The purpose of China's state-owned enterprises (SOEs) is to maximize social welfare for the Chinese people. SOEs are expected to balance economic and non-economic goals to achieve this goal. Stabilizing public finance: SOEs allow the government to use their assets as collateral to issue debt or sell shares to balance budgets. Providing essential raw materials: SOEs dominate capital-intensive sectors like power, steel, chemicals, and machinery. Generating employment: SOEs account for two-thirds of urban employment. State-owned enterprises accounted for over 60% of China's market capitalization in 2019and estimates suggest that they generated about 23-28% of China's GDP in 2017 and employ between16% of the workforce. Ninety-one of these SOEs belong to the 2020 Fortune Global 500 companies. In total China have 867,000 enterprises have a degree of state ownership. Is this their first attempt? if so, its very very good! I ado agree about the interior. Maybe they need to get a hyper-car/racing driver involved in the design stage? Talking of which, perhaps AION need to do a single-series race series? Perhaps team up with a games studio to audition potential racing drivers (bit like Nissan did with Sony Playstation and GrandTourismo).

I hope those charging lights on the front aren't on when you're driving particularly at night could be really annoying to the driver & passenger. Those are scissor doors though not gull wing doors, the Mercedes SLS AMG Electric has gull wing doors as does the Model X (ignore the official marketing material for it 'Falcon Wing' aka "Gull Wing'). You are right though suspect the badge is the failing part of this car particularly at this price point when it's up against things like the Rimac Nevera as a start(different price but more well known globally).

Looked like the private ground was a residential compound. Probably quite worn out cobble stones or similar. Understand the choice since a little sporty cornering in public road will raise attention instantly. It wouldn't surprise me if any possible speeding ticket would be directly deducted from the owners bank account by reading the license plate. And not to mention the impacct on the social score. Regardless, in addition to the well known formula one track Shanghai has a smaller racetrack for club racing. Would be a perfect place to let this machine stretch its legs.

@AJames-jr8kw so where were they built ? They can't have been built in China because they have absolutely no safety regulations because if they did build cars there and import them they would have to follow the laws for the respective countries ut their own domestic ca4s are catching fire, they issues with the lack of build quality and even the materials us3d are dodgy with some cars being made of tightly compressed cardboard and just the whole host of accidents caused by interference from the cars computers.
