What happened to the European and American auto industry? Why can only China produce good electric cars?
@BalamutikosКүн бұрын
A completely biased review, in which all the shortcomings of the car are far-fetched. A wonderful car, which is significantly ahead of what the European auto industry can currently offer.

Does the car weight 3tons?????????
@timax41142 күн бұрын
No, pushing the EV and making high prices is what made them go this way, not rellaying on ICE engine. ICE engine car will always sell no matter what, electric not so. There is even possibility that prices of ICE cars are so high to make for it for loss on EVs.

I think this car is breaking boundaries. As someone that lives amongst tiny roads, the turning on the spot could definitely come in handy. I also love the AI integration.

Why was the 7X driving on the wrong side of the highway at the end of the video? Very dangerous

I feel sorry for people who still think western autos are better than Chinese EVs. The western world is getting left behind

Great great video. But I still don't understand battery swapping, you drove for 4 hours before needing to swap and then stopped again to eat. On the very rare occasion I have to public charge, I rest and eat at the same time as charging. Stopping once. And with cars now coming that charge in 10 mins, plus how many batteries are stored doing nothing in those swap stations, I just don't see it.

I feel your pain. I moved into a house a few years ago where the light switches at the bottom of the stairs really wind me up. The top switch turns the light on downstairs, and the bottom switch turns on the light upstairs. It also reminds me of how much it winds me up when they put the names of the main actors above the wrong picture of the actor in the movie poster. These are not difficult things to get right!

I was interested in the old silk road but this video put me off. A lot of travelling for images of desolate nothingness. A bit like Australia once you get away from the coast. The Chinese video editing seemed a bit off to this AngloSaxon person but I note from the comments that some seemed to enjoy it. Each to their own. I wonder whether Nio's desire to put battery swap stations in the middle of nowhere and have couriers charge your car while you are sleeping contributes to them yet to make a profit after all these years.

Elliot, I noticed the raised walkways in and around that magnificent tree. What's the reason behind them, please? Is it to prevent soil compaction from an endless parade of feet, or is it due to the surrounding area being subject to a substantial amount of rainfall at certain times of the year, making the ground boggy? Thanks. 😊
@electricelliotrichards3 күн бұрын
Both! Protect the natural ground and this is mostly desert so any water that comes is often strong and heavy so it can flood.

People who want to overtake you and drive like a bat out of hell - they called locals. There was another analogy that we use in New Zealand, but that wouldn't have been politically correct and could cause offence....😅🤪

That little Nomi in-car assistant just makes NIO stand out from the crowd for me. So cute. It helps to give a great car a distinctive character. And there have been few cars around, in the last 20 or so years, that have had that.

0:28 everyone, so for Chenies companies too? Or they are no one for you? 0:50 inability to keep up with changes, which they know for 10+ years? I would name it quarter to quarter management, nothing more, where was one guy which want to change it, but profit for next few years would go down, so they fire him. Now they will want money from government and tax payers to keep going, and taxes on imported cars only mean more expensive for people, not better at all. 3:50 it do change VW, because they global sells going down -> profit going down, so they must cut cost.

Excellent roadtrip story.. inspiring and somewhat dreamy for me sitting on the other side of the world in little Denmark. And I love the Nio et5T- have just taken ownership of my own el6- as one of the absolutely very few in this country. Would so much like to make such a road trip in such varied landscapes and culture.

I'm a new driver. Just got my driver's licence in July this year. Then in August I took a road trip going from Guangdong to Yunnan Province with my dad's XPeng X9. To my surprise, as big as a car it is, the X9 is super easy to maneuver even for a rookie like myself. Doesn't feel like a 5.3 m-long car. And I also slept in the car for the entirety of the trip. I put an inflatable mattress in the back after putting down the third row seats so it was indeed a fairly enjoyable sleeping experience while saving me lots of money.

this....this is how we should have slept in the car... (glad you enjoyed the trip - its such a good cruiser!)
