Are you talking about 2020? China is not like India. We do not allow rumors to exist, especially on major issues. It is cruel and heartbreaking to talk about the casualties of both sides. I remember that China announced that four PLA soldiers died heroically. But the number of casualties of the PLA announced by the Indian media is several times or even dozens of times this number. I just hope that Indians with a little bit of rationality will believe that the reports of the Indian media are exaggerated. Putting aside the casualties of both sides. Let's look at the prisoners. No one of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was captured by the Indian army. But many Indian soldiers were captured by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, including two Indian officers. It is clear who is stronger and who is weaker between the Chinese and Indian armies. If you use your brain, you will know that if the Indian army caused heavy casualties to the PLA, would our PLA let the Indian prisoners return to India alive? No, we will hand over the bodies of the Indian soldiers to the Indian government. This once again proves that ordinary Indians have been living in false information. In 1962, if India had a little understanding of the Chinese people and the combat effectiveness of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, it would not be shocked when India failed.

The main reason for that 4 years program is to skip pension to soldiers after retirement and give lumpsum money.. by doing this India army will have more money to spend on modern military infrastructure and weapons
@msnikhil21672 ай бұрын

@@mingmuyiyang8615 India has fought short wars since 1947 because it was able to close those wars in a short amount of time. Do not fool yourself with the idea that Indians will simply fold because they will refuse to fight a war of attrition. Do not mistake the people of India with the newer Republic of India. Much of the medieval warfare in India was Siege warfare. Armies had to lay siege to vast network of forts for multiple months if not years to manage a victory. The forts also had to endure these sieges by doing preemptive planning and rationing. The later medieval period saw the rise of guerilla warfare in the subcontinent, where opponents disrupted the supply lines and LOCs of the larger army and conducted targeted raids. These wars usually lasted more than 20 years (Deccan wars is a good example). This idea that Indians have not experienced a long war of attrition both in men and material simply reflects the ignorance of Chinese strategic thinking. You guys should actually read Indian history, instead of theorizing some random bs. If your top military brass shares similar thought process as you, the entirety of PLAN will sink within the First island chain like the Beiyang Fleet.

Indian Army and all other armed forces are 100% volunteers services. There are no conscripts. That is the basic difference between India forces and Chinese forces. It tells a lot about the morale of people serving. Indians are serving willingly for their country and Chinese are forced to serve CCP. Remember, it's not Chinese army, it belongs to a political party.

Further China has time and again violated the bilateral agreements and laid-down border management protocols, including specific provisions in the Border Defence Cooperation Agreement (BDCA) of 2013. India should not be underestimated but there are many many issues ... Saying this as an Indian myself The reliance on Russia for spares , weapon systems , plane engines ,. missiles , air defence platforms etc is a huge issue with the strained Russia supply lines because of the Ukrainian war ( china has created self reliance on many aspects by blatant copying and reverse engineering) Indian development programs for various platforms ( planes , ships , subs , assault weapons , tanks etc etc ) have very very long gestation periods and lot of political interference that does not promote the level of innovation thats needed. There is a huge gap in technical knowledge as compared to china .. China has a much more active military and intelligence space program with manuly more satellites plus their hacking capabilities for cyber warfare are quite advanced. There is an urgent need for india to streamline and cut red tape ins its defence procurement and development programmes There is huge potential but we also need western support and support from the private sector Jai Hind

Reliance on the Russian equipment is not a good thing. The Russian government has shown its arms are really suspect against a small army in Ukraine and need China and North Korean assistance for supplies. Do you think the Russian government would supply support in arms and munitions against China its current partner in crime. India needs either to get arms from the west or better still be self sustaining.

08:17 Your description beautifully captures the essence of the Indian Army's spirit and the soldiers' mindset, Your words eloquently convey the selflessness, camaraderie, and patriotism that define the Indian Army. The Indian Army is driven by a profound sense of devotion to the nation, rooted in the belief that serving the country ensures the well-being of their families. This logic resonates deeply with army personnel, who risk their lives for a higher purpose, beyond mere monetary compensation. Job security, family security, and patriotic lineage inherited from India's independence movement converge to foster a strong sense of duty. Soldiers view their nation as an extension of their personal circle, comprising loved ones, friends, and fellow comrades. The bonds formed in challenging environments forge a brotherhood, making them willing to sacrifice everything for their country. Despite limited facilities compared to Western nations, Indian soldiers demonstrate unwavering dedication, making do with available resources without complaint. The nation reciprocates this pride, evident in the willingness All situations when it needs of citizens to contribute generously, beyond taxes, to support soldiers in need. This mutual respect and admiration embody the spirit of India's armed forces.

Every casualty is recorded and memorial are built for sacrifice all accross india. Their story of sacrifice motivate younger generation in that area to join military and bring proud to the area. Government always bring back remain of military personal and cremation is done in full public views with gun salute and local people's always build memorial or trust in memory of fallen men. In fact we still have many memorial in village area who had lost their people's in ww2. Indian and Chinese military cultural regarding respect to fallen comrade is totally different.

China got a taste of Indian army when, after not relending in many commanders meetings on the areas they had surreptitously occupied, Indian troops occupied several commanding heights in the Kailash Range overnight in daring moves. The PLA was checkmated as these heights looked down on Chinese positions, including the only pass that would have allowed heavy vehicles to pass. After further meetings, the PLA withdrew from the north bank areas they had occupied in violation of written agreements. To everybody's surprise and disgust, the Indian govt agreed to order the troops to come down in order to return to status quo ante.

In 1967, China attacked the kingdom of Sikkim which was a small neutral country in the Himalayas south of Tibet. India defended Sikkim and annexed it into its union. That was an epic battle which is so underrated in history. Whereas i saw chinese "soldiers" weeping like babies as they were deployed to the frontlines. I think this difference in mentality is what leads to the assymetric outcomes during engagement where PLA soldiers ambush Indian soldiers and still get surrounded and thrashed. I don't underestimate Chinese infrastructure building capability, or strategic planning or their ability to develop or engineer new weapons (although i doubt if they're reliable) but I do know that their soldiers lack mettle to be very effective in combat situations.
