To be very honest, Philippines is well-experienced in terms of combat/warfare because of the fact that they fought a lot of terrorist until to this day. Try searching how good they are, mostly on guerilla warfare. Their soldiers are exposed on real time battle, plus the Americans quarterly conduct a military exercise together with Armed Forces of PH. You guys should take that into consideration. P.S. Firearms are allowed in the Philippines, wheter it is legal or not, guns are everywhere in that country.

The the US will back it up no matter what. This is not due to close ties during WW2, but because the Philippines is a great strategic position to have in war. It's a country separated by thousands of islands which means fully covering the area would be a long and hardfought battle no matter what even if they even capture the capital. Same thing that happened during the Japanese Occupation during WW2. At some point regrouping is highly possible to counter-attack and this is if they somehow succeed (which is highly unlikely). So many proof that it's all bark propaganda at this point and they couldn't win any battles without it also finishing them off either politically or militarily unless they threaten a nuclear approach. Filipino Citizens aren't afraid. Anyone that isn't directly involved in politics isn't afraid simply because average Filipino's aren't aware of the scale they operate on. Most wealthy people in the Philippines are run by Chinese or have ties with it. They are deeply rooted in the government even if they aren't members of the CCP.
