Chinese $2 Barlow Knife

update after a bit of use on the Frontier firearms Barlow :)

I bought a few of those back when they had them at Frontier, I did not get quite as good a deal as you did I think mine were a whopping $2.95. Mine dont get much use as I generally carry a SAK of one type or another or the cheap Canadian Tire Buck folder with pocket clip.

its hard not to carry a SAK when is like half the weight and all the extra tools.

A great traditional knife. Its image restores balance to my Feng shui. Happy flower joy joy. 😁🌻💕💕I would have a got some when I saw your original video and they were still available but I couldn't find anything else I wanted at Frontier. Knives with simple steels & conservative heat treatment like this one are the best for pocket knives IMO - something that's easy to sharpen and rolls the edge instead of chips is the way to go. I'd be really happy if we could find a few cheap & cheerful carbon bladed pocket knives - but I'm probably not being realistic if the knife is going to sit around for 30 years before it gets sold as you said this one might have been. i think rough rider has carbon steel knives but not sure how easy or cheap they are in canada.

@@Gungeek I see Rough Ryder at Blades Canada but I've been backing off buying any stuff from them because of the steep steep price increases recently on their site. Better to find bargains like the Barlow you found at Frontier.

I remember the first video, GunGeek. ... The Barlow knife from China brings back the memories of how this guy stole my Barlow Knife, with the same appearance, except my Barlow was made in the USA. ... They had a box of Barlow knives, USA, on a fishing bait store Counter. [About $2 each, many, many, many moons ago!] ... I don't think about the theft, until I see your videos. Dang, too many Yanker scalawags! ... Last I heard, he and his wife left town, with the 'pedal to the metal' and the cop car sirens blaring, in hot pursuit! ... I just checked, my Barlow marked knife on the handle, Bayes USA, on the blade, with a picture of Elvis Presley on it; the knife is still in the closet! [Some collectables are just cheap and depreciate in value.]
