Chinese 2 TC Song Dynasty (Season 3 Build Order) | AoE4

This build has been featured elsewhere, but I wanted to put this version out there because of its relative simplicity. Furthermore, I had a point to make regarding adapting to your opponent when doing build orders.
This channel focuses in AoE4 1v1, from Bronze to Conqueror. Particular emphasis is placed on learning about the game and helping new players ease their way into the multiplayer scene.

I've never understood many peoples obsession with whoever can age up the fastest and at what time as though a faster age up is some kind of badge of honour. A slower age up may mean you had had less builders on the landmark which ultimately equates to more villager efficiency. Having 6 villagers building a landmark to speed up the age up is the equivalent of having a few villagers standing idle due to the law of diminishing returns. A slower age up doesn't indicate weakness but conversely can mean a more sturdy foundation.

The builld order pretty much stops at 6:36... At 6:36-6:49, After trying this one out i find it much more convenient to put the barbican to defend the stone. In this case i would put it between the stone and the closest dear patch. The hard thing about trying to learn a build order from a game that is played against a real player is that a real player will allways try to put you out of the comfort zone and the player you are trying to copy might actually have made some misstakes as a result of that. You start makeing really good points about it though just as i recognized at this time. When u showcase a build id love to see the same build/opener in multiple games to see what is similar/different depending on opponent/map/scouting info. Love your work, keep it up !

Like in this case he puts the 2nd tc on a defensive on the stone, the barbican couldve been on stone and the 2nd tc a bit more aggressive or what do you think iNcog?

At 5:15 you say something like "you can put it over here also but i dont know...." i think that is more important than what u make of it here

I've thought about showing the same build in different situations though this comes at a highly increased cost of time and I'd say most people who watch a build order video are just looking for the build. I'm looking to tie some of the other analysis videos more cleanly into other build videos that said. I was also not 100% on board with the TC placement by YUImetal here, BUT, I've learned that there are small details all over that top players think about that I'm not even aware of. That is why they are top level players and why I am not. :p I think as long as your TC protects something of value, you're good to go. You're right that it's quite important but I am not someone who mains China too much and I wouldn't want to pretend to know something which I'm not genuinely familiar with. it's a learning journey. highly appreciate your insight and analysis though. days like these, I'm the one being taught something by the comments. which is exactly what I'm looking for :D
