Pump #'s mean ml per dose. 0.022ml is most common. 0.016ml is for 2KW. In theory you could use the smaller 0.016ml on a 5 KW heater and get it to run nicer on low because you would have more smaller doses of fuel.

Best explanation yet for the new blue controller and red remote. What range do you get with the red remote? I see that the altitude setting are not adjustable, any idea what effect it has on the fan speed or pump dosing? GOOD JOB!

Thanks for the comment Robert. I have not tested the remote range, as I have not got the time to install the heater yet. Will do a video of that later. Regarding the altitude I'm not sure, but I think you are on to something with the fan speed and dosing.
@barbaraflanigan16414 жыл бұрын
There are a number of Facebook groups addressing these Chinese heaters and they all say the heater does not place the altitude it reads into the data stream (only the constant "3500") sent from the controller to the mother board inside the heater. One must note that it is the mother board itself and not the controller that adjusts the mix sent to the burn chamber (blended via fan air speed and ml strokes of the fuel pump). The fuel mix is contrived by the mother board and a result of the values set from the factory settings or instead, any updates that have been made to those settings previously via the controller. The processor on the mother board is actually what creates the ratio of the mix using only the 4 parameters that it knows, and those include the first two of recommended pump strokes in HZ low/high settings and the second two are the recommended RPM of the motor low/high settings. The mother board actually has very few actions that can be manipulated by the controller during normal operation. The first set of user options via the controller are from choosing "manual mode". In this mode the pump speed is always controlled by the user and the fan runs at a speed that is deemed necessary by the mother board (within the RPM min/max) and provided as needed for the various user-selected fuel flow rates and the fan speed will not change over time when the pump rate is kept constant other than should a power off sequence be started. So "constant heat" will be delivered and that level in Hz set at the controller while in manual mode and the only thing a user controls in manual mode is how much heat the unit should put out and setting it of course off/on. The fan speed is set determined by the motherboard which calculates what is needed based on the ratios set in the mother board memory. The second mode of the controller is "automatic mode" and in this mode the controller provides the user with the option of setting a "goal" temperature or the other settings only include turning the heater on or off. When the heater is on with a "goal" temperature set, the heater mother board determines the best fuel mixture while running at any speed within it's defined limits to first begin on maximum heat until the correct temperature is approached at which point the heater begins to slow as it cycles down toward the minimum settings, all controlled via the mother board which is functioning based on knowing the temperature inside the living space and comparing it to what value the thermostat was set by the controller. In automatic mode, the heater moves through all the various pump/fan speeds as the unit automatically seeks the needed values for fuel flow and fan speed while the heater warms and cools down through its normal cycles. The only action one can control via the controller is either a) in manual mode, the fuel rate (while the fan responds appropriately and according to the 4 values for ratio it knows) and b) in automatic mode nothing other than the "goal" temperature is set as the controller sends ambient (supposedly increasing) temperature readings via the serial interface from the controller to the mother board inside the heater. Through the range of speeds, however, the mother board continues to base all its variations on both fuel pump rate and fan RPM while still using only the 4 values of ratios that it has in its memory. This means the heater operates via factory settings or those anyone can over ride by changing them by entering the special code supplied here into the controller. Basically one shouldn't change factory settings unless some kind of problem is seen such as white smoke or black smoke from the exhaust. More on this can be found in the Facebook group Chinese Heater Troubleshooting. A number of illustrations and guides can be downloaded from the files section of that group, providing literature that will suggest how to experiment with the settings at higher altitudes. In short the fuel mixture will need to be "leaned out" (reduce the fuel tor air ratio) more and more, the higher the heater is operated. Inversely, the heater settings will need to be set back as sea level is approached.

Very useful video, thank you. Looking at the video text detail, have you been able to tune your 5kw heater to give efficient output as low as 1kw? The 5kw heaters are both cheaper and much easier to get hold of than the 2kw but too much heat in a motorhome requiring the unit to keep stopping and starting is clearly a problem.

How good is the fan on a hot day ?
@barbaraflanigan16414 жыл бұрын
Hot day? The unit won't run just the fan, it's a heater only and running only the fan is not an option and since the bearings in these things go out quite rapidly, using it just to blow air would be a costly proposition.

Hei!
@Italjohn4 жыл бұрын
Heisann. Det er visst ikke alle som lar seg pare når de blir ettersendt. Du kan lese mere om dette på facebook. facebook.com/groups/146837062640024/

@BeezyKing994 жыл бұрын
Winand D that would be for the pump settings. Edit: there’s a Facebook group on Facebook for these heaters.. not sure what it’s called.

The PF-5 stands for "glow plug 80W. (PF-1-2-3-4-5-6 = 35-40-45-80-90w glow plug power)

@Italjohn5 жыл бұрын
You press and hold "OK" on the remote. See 0:15 in clip. NB: Not all remotes can be changed from Chinese. You can try to hold down another buttot to test this as well. Let me know how i goes, ok?

hei hvordan forandre eg til engelsk på den fjenkontrollen?
@Italjohn5 жыл бұрын
Du holder inne ok i 2 sekunder. Ikke alle fjernkontroller som lar seg skifte til Engelsk. Se om det er engelsk tekst på fjernkontrollen i annonsen til selger.
