Thank you for all the informative videos. My boyfriend got me a Chinese Brush Painting book for Christmas and I'm confused about the stroke orders. Could you, if you have time, make a video explaining the different kinds of strokes?

Thank you for making it simple for beginners. You are the first person I have come across who recommends Winsor and Newton watercolors. For Chinese/Japanese painting, most artists “strictly” recommend Chinese colors like Marie’s because of how they behave on rice paper. Could you please explain why you recommended the other brands? Also, Chinese colors are hard to find where I live so this could be a good alternative for me. Thanks. 🙏🏼

I apologize for the late reply. It depends,...like shopper type, where you live, etc. You can get Chinese brushes, online, in Chinatowns, and even some art stores have Chinese brushes for sale, hope this helps. =)

Did you say wolf hair? How do they actually get that hair to make the brush?

Yu don't need expensive Holbein watercolors to paint Chinese paintings. Marie's Chinese paints are wonderful and much cheaper at around $20

Johnny Poon $20!!!!, kind of expensive for Marie's watercolor since these are around $2~4 at China also Marie's was actually a Chinese brand so it was kind of over priced for $20
