I adore how Chinese cuisine does eggplant with sooooo much good garlic. Also Wuhan’s hot dry noodles with sesame paste, Beijing noodles with soybean paste (originally vegetarian but now served with pork), and in the 🍂 autumn and winter, the steamed sweet potatoes 🍠 that you can buy for 15 rmb on the street! Also jianbing (Chinese pancake) that you can get on the street! A

What a wonderful and delicious food adventure with Alisa. A big shout-out to her. A nice walk about showing the old side with all those traditional buildings. I'm sure Alisa introduces those "tong sui" stuff to you, like the milk pudding, red beans soup and etc. As l'm a Cantonese, l used to cook red beans soup for my family. Yeah, that lady vendor speaks to you in Mandarin, asking you whether you understand her but there's no response from you 😂😅 And for that long bean curd skin, you must take/buy the whole piece, a vegetarian food. Oh, a good try with that fish skin dish. Thank you very much for another fabulous video with interesting content, Ken....fun and entertaining to watch. Love it so much. Bravo, Ken.

Welcome to Canton! If you're interested in trying dim sum, I highly recommend visiting Nan Yuan Restaurant (142 Qianjin Road, Haizhu District)or Panxi Restaurant(151 Longjin West Road, Liwan District). Both places not only offer authentic dim sum but also provide a pleasant dining environment. Especially the their gardens reflects the typical Lingnan style, making it a worthwhile visit.

13:51 You said ketchup doesn't sound very Chinese to you but it is quite commonly used with Chinese cuisine, especially in Cantonese cuisine and all over South East Asia. The word "ketchup", if you are not aware of, is actually derived from the Cantonese.

There's nothing more Chinese than catchup. Tomato sauce was originated.from China and more specifically, from Canton (Guangdong) Province, the.place you are visiting in this video. Catchup is a Cantonese word, 茄汁, this sauce as introduced to the west through sea trading in the old ages.

Japan got its culture from Chinese Tang Dynasty and its writing system from China and its technology from west. Stop trying to advertise the Japanese copycat nation. Most things misbranded as “Japanese “ aren’t even Japanese in origin. They just love to slap their replica brand around. Noodles, dumplings, rice, rice wine, rice noodles, bean curd, miso, hotpot, chopsticks, ramen, soy sauce, bonsai, origami, game of go, tea, tea ceremony, cherry blossom, katana, etc, all came from China and are Chinese inventions. Hiragana is cursive Chinese characters Hanzi, katakana is partial Chinese characters, kanji is Hanzi named after the Han Dynasty of China.

@@yxp8835 They can be introduced from Japan but they don’t originate from Japan. It’s like Japan copies from the west and then they become the teacher. Cantonese American here born in Guangzhou and raised in USA. Translation for the doufu skin that you ate. They call it vegetarian roasted goose. Vegetarian meat is usually made with the Chinese invention of doufu ( invented during the Han Dynasty of China) which the Japanese copied and call it tofu. The double skinned milk and ginger milk both originated from Shunde, Guangdong province (Guangzhou is its capital city), which also is the ancestral hometown of Bruce Lee, and also my paternal ancestral home. Shunde is where they train Cantonese chefs. Hong Kong and Macau both inherit Cantonese cuisine and culture from Guangdong province, so if you want the authentic version of double skin milk and ginger milk, visit the hometown of Bruce Lee, Shunde. Greetings from Los Angeles. 🎉

At the same time, due to the approach of the Chinese Spring Festival, bad weather may affect your travel plans (such as the cancellation of flights, trains and high-speed trains, the closure of highways, etc.).
