Unlike Indian government and media, China does not report India much. And most reports are positive. Therefore, Chinese in China do not have a negative view about Indians. Yes, Chinese are aware of border conflict with India once every other year. But given there is no war, there is not much concern. And the border conflict with India is far away with any Chinese cities, it is really not even registered with the mindset of most Chinese. On the other hand, China the "Big Scary Northern Dragon" is used by Indian government and media to distract Indians from domestic issues. And India uses the border conflict to get attention and recession with China. The same border conflict can be used by India to show US and West that India is with the "democratic countries fighting the scary commies." Therefore, India has every incentive to keep bringing up the border conflict. And China rolls its eyes and play along. For China, as long as India does not completely sided with the West, it is good enough. Good enough.
