The eagle is napoleon dynamite-esque!! To remove stubborn stuck carbureted screws use a punch and small hammer. Put the punch against the screw and tap it it shocks it so it will be easy to unscrew. I learned that trick from an OG motorcycle mechanic.

I have the same scooter! Just got mine running a few days ago. Slow charged the battery, fresh fuel w a mixture of seafoam. New spark plug, mine was all fouled up, there wasnt a gap on it. And a new fuel filter. It fired up after a few tries, now i can leave it on, and it idles perfectly.

people mistaken Chinese scooter for taiwanese scooters. I moved to Taiwan and kymco and sym brands are best in the world.the build quality is exceptional. i see 20-30 year old scooters daily. with regular maintenance even little 125cc engine will do 100k kilometers

That's awesome! I had a scooter made by Sym for a while and it was much better than the Chinese scooters I've owned.

I have the same Chinese scooter but mine is orange. Also it is called a Volari. it's on the side where the access panel is for the air filter. I bought it with only 200 miles on it. This thing has been running great so far. I have about 1300 miles on it now, it says its a 150cc scooter but it tops out at like 55-60 mph. is there any way to get this thing to go any faster? I changed the CDI box and barely noticed any change. Then I realized that the CDI box was missing and had come unhooked and fallen out of the hood area somehow, what's weird is the scooter ran fine without it. Ha Ha ha. Anyway, luckily I still had the old one so I just put it back and everything seemed normal. Although I keep having to replace the right hand switch box that has the start button and the kill switch and also the throttle cable runs through. It's made of chromed out plastic. (weird huh?) I would like to replace the carburetor with a racing one, also change the exhaust with a full flow one. and a cold-air intake. I am hoping this will make a huge difference in the way she runs. Bravo on getting that one to run!!! Any advice or pointers would be gladly appreciated. Thank You, aArOn A.

Are you sure you want to go more than 60mph on this scooter? It's not exactly safe... You can gain a lot of performance by tuning the CVT. Take the belt cover off and run the engine while on the center stand. Check to see if the belt rides all the way up and down the pulleys. Sometimes the stock belt length and pulley combination doesn't give you the full range of ratios. You can buy a performance CVT kit that will start the scooter in a lower gear and let it reach a higher gear ratio at top speed. You can also tune the variator by changing the weight of the rollers. Lighter rollers will keep the engine at higher rpm which usually gives you better acceleration. I don't have an in depth CVT tuning video yet, but I'm sure someone has explained it on KZbin. Tuning the carburetor helps a lot too. A performance carburetor will give you a little bit more power than stock.

Hey Paul, my scooter kick start, I can jump the solenoid but it won’t start with the switch start. What would you recommend?
@twotonebrute10 ай бұрын
If you can start the engine by jumping the starter solenoid but not with the start button there's a couple of possibilities. 1. The little push starter button has worn out and needs to be replaced. The contact button can wear out over time or corrode. 2. The brake safety switch is bad. Most of these scooters require you hold the break lever in while using the push starter. 3. The most difficult is a wiring problem. If you have a broken wire it can be anywhere and you need a multimeter and a lot of time and luck to track down the broken wire.

What model and year is this red scooter?? I wanna see if the triple tree will fit my lance vintage 150

This scooter is a 2010, and should be the same as all Chinese "lowboy" style scooters that look like it. This one has a telescoping fork and 12" wheels. Some scooters with have a linkage fork and 10" wheels, but I think the frame is the same.

You should fix up scooter, flip it for some profit . . . and then put that money into engine swap!! for rav4.
@LabCoatPaul4 жыл бұрын
I doubt I would make any money. This scooter is in very bad condition, and even if it ran perfectly, it would only be worth $500. I'm in it for the videos. Chinese scooters constantly break, so a lot of people watch these videos.
@philiptaylor25674 жыл бұрын
@@LabCoatPaul gotcha. You could do an engine swap on the scooter. I'm thinking . . . hayabusa 1350. That seems reasonable

@@philiptaylor2567 OK, sweet! I'll do that. The RAV4 will have to wait about a year though. :P
