Not to worry, a group of Khmer film enthusiasts have made a short 10 minute video detailing about the movie already. In fact, they actually have claimed to have a print of the film, but in Khmer dub only. There definitely needs to be a restoration and remastering effort based on that known existing film print.

Recapitundo: Parece que a música; កូនកំសត់ é uma reinterpretação de uma música taiwanesa chamada; 回到娘身旁 cantada pela 林秀雲 que foi feita pra ser parte da trilha sonora dum filme de 1971 chamado: 我心碎, aí teria uma versão desse filme que foi lançado no Camboja chamado: ឈឺចិត្តឆ្អិតទ្រូង porém a unica menção que achei desse suposto filme é o que aparenta ser o album da trilha sonora dele neste canal e nele não consta nenhuma menção da versão da Sereysothea: kzbin.info/www/bejne/npayeKGco9KJgck porem de acordo com o galado do vkRecordCollection existe uma versão quemer deste filme feita nos anos 2000 de acordo com esse video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWPUaHWeis-aoM0. Então talvez a versão da Sereysothea não tenha sido gravado para nenhum filme e a regravação do filme seja apenas a dos anos 2000, ao que tudo indica o filme 回到娘身旁 tá perdido pra sempre num galpão em Taiwan se deteriorando e os detalhes dessa história continuaram nebulosos pois pra mim já deu.

Sorry for commenting in English, but the movie this song (回到娘身旁) was made for is 心酸酸 (1972). The video of mine you linked is NOT made for that film (both original, and remake). In the video I posted, that is a Khmer remake of 我心碎了 (1971), done by an amateur film crew using cheap digital cameras and very poorly done ADR work, likely due to the fact they are a very cheap, direct-to-video film studio with a lack of skills and education. The only common elements both Taiwanese films 我心碎了 (1971) and 心酸酸 (1972) have are they have the same director + writer, and both films have songs sung by 林秀雲 for the soundtrack.
