Is it really grammatically correct to say 北京的服务行业这些年发展很快 and not 发展的很快 ? Is there a difference in meaning between the two ?

Mandarin was congressionally voted as Chinese national language, beating second place Cantonese by narrow margin. Even Dr Sun Yatsen, a hongkonger, voted for it. Mandarin is to China, as English to USA, Spanish to Mexico…. After the defeat, Cantonese is not Chinese, but a dialect of Chinese languages. And Cantonese is also a dialect of American languages, a dialect of Mexico languages.
