I bought a Chinese made Moped here in the US I think around 2006, and it was absolute TRASH.... The Electric Start stopped working after a few uses, and then the Kick Start ALSO stopped working after just a couple of uses. It became WORTHLESS JUNK after spending some $800...!!! :(

I have a bunch of those Chinese mopeds I'm rebuilding. They are all rescued from the scrap yard. Some stopped working due to neglect or lack of knowledge by the original owners. Other's just falling apart from cheap plastic panels and electronics. But since they all have the common gy6 engine and chassis, they are easy to fix with a huge aftermarket. Just the older ones I get that are not built like the Tao Tao are hard to get parts for outside the gy6 engine.

I remember when Jinlun motorcycles reached the west. They were everywhere. 20 years later, nobody remember them, because they have been on the scrap yards for 15 years.

Depends on the country and the army. There are foreigners serving in Ukraine's army and they seem to be much appreciated. European officers who believed in the American cause served in the Continental Army and their names are now on streets and schools. For centuries, Nepalese have competed to serve in Britain's Gurkha battalions because of the pay and it's considered a high-status thing back home. But Chinese serving the Russian army? Different.

For example, even before the invasion, a number of single US STATES had an economy TWICE that of ALL Russia. Add in many countries helping Ukraine, even if the US stops sending 1% of its old tanks now, and that’s a spending war Russia can’t win. And Ukraine “only” has to defend, and exhaust Russia, a process well underway. Russia has to advance to “win” which is costlier in every sense…and they have already lost much of their initial troops and equipment.
