Each time I watch your videos you are getting better on that machine, keep up the good work. Once I saw your digger fall in the trench you had dug, no big deal I've been there done that. I was surprised to see you try and lift it out but most likely just a panic reaction. I'm impressed that you posted that because I personally probably would have deleted that bit. But good on you because with machinery sometimes shit really does happen eh. Take care bro.

Thank you very much, I appreciate the support. That time when I fell in was a learning stage of my digging life. I've been told if you've never slipped down or fell in then your not s real operator 😆 you'd be surprised of how the machine can be lifted slightly depending on its centre of gravity. I want to raise awareness for those out there that, even as a amateur or professional it can happen. You've just got to step back and assess it and just go with plan A right through to Z. Part of the reason I don't wear my belt is because on that machine it's easier to jump of rather than stay put, I know that's not good safety sense but it's proved its worth already. Thank you again for watching, really appreciate the kind words.

Nice one Nick I hire a little digger in when I’m messing in the garden because the previous owner of the land buried everything thing When he was offered a few meters of concrete he’d have it for another base or path Thanks Nick great vid I always find them interesting you’re a lad after my own heart 👍👨🏻‍🏭

Thank you Paul 😊 Ain't it nice when someone just puts a lot of concrete down and you've got to break it up 😆 it's a lot of hard work. Thank you again, I appreciate your continued support.

Nice work Nick. Inspired now to get on my mini digger to do 150 metres of 'French Drain' at my place (when the bloody rain stops!)

Hey David, it rains in Australia ? 😄 I know it does, just being silly 😆 French drains are so simple and their design is amazing but easy. Be an easy task for your machine buddy. Thank you as always 😊

the bucket i used on this dig was 170mm wide with the wings on the bucket. They call them a utility bucket i think. Thank you for commenting 👍

Thanks again Nick always look forward to seeing your videos. NTW Have you done a video on how to price jobs? I'd be very interested.
@everydaywithmenick
@everydaywithmenick 2 жыл бұрын
My prices are just based on a day rate unless I feel the need to price a job up accordingly. I try to keep it good priced for both parties. Thank you for your continued support 👍 😊

@@everydaywithmenick we bought a 4 ton jcb 804, £6500 before prices went mental, did 800 hours work with it in the first year so it basically paid for itself twice over…. Buying a machine is always a sound investment compared to hireing one!
@everydaywithmenick

@@livingoffgridinscotland you aren't wrong, thr local lads who hire them are 80 - 90 a day hire so that sharp adds up but when it's just daft 1 day jobs then it doesn't. It's just far more convenient having it there ready for work though.

@@everydaywithmenick totally I was hireing a digger in for a weekend at a time, losing half a days work elsewhere on a Friday to collect a digger and losing half a day on a Monday, then £180 for a weekend hire on a shitty 1.5ton digger with not enough buckets… I borrowed the money to buy mine and it’s costing £176/month over 5 years but the work we’ve done is phenomenal and I’ve got over 10 attachments now so it’s far more flexible than one you’d rent
@everydaywithmenick
@everydaywithmenick 2 жыл бұрын
@@livingoffgridinscotland that's the way to do it if you can. For the DIY Joe it's not worth buying one but for me and likes of yourself it can be handy in so many ways. And then when I can go out to do some work it's paid for itself that month 😄 you've got to see all aspects of it. Can you get work for it where you are up there ?
