There’s a series about the Tongs called Warrior based on Bruce Lee’s writings. It’s a actually really good but did not receive the attention it deserves.
@TheInvisibleManInBlack Жыл бұрын
It has a season 3 in production.

Great series.
@tenholindberg9862 Жыл бұрын
part of the reason why, is that the major part of the series is the Lee estate, wich is run currently by bruce daughter Shannon Lee. who has a reputation of putting all kinds of garbage in screen with her blessing, while rejecting many legitimate works, wich actually respect Bruce's legacy and he's philosophy. most infamous case being of her suing Bruce's childhood family and siblings, due to them making movie about Bruce childhood years, while same time giving massive support to Chinese (not Hong Kong) TV seriesabout Bruces life, wich aired all kinds of fictional events about Bruce, wich newer happened. money is the one she is after. too bad she is acting in many cases in a way, wich is discracing her father.

Really good is an understatement. It's great. Somehow Cinemax managed to make some great period piece series. Warrior and The Knick

There is so much story here !!!! Please tell some of them. These were the true tough guys. They preferred to fight rather than shoot. So many gr8 stories. You could do so many shows on so many of these gangsters. Please do 🙏.

I wonder if any of them actually got proper representation considering they most likely didn’t speak English

Even if they did, the laws are rigged against them.
@georgieman19102 жыл бұрын
Actually many did speak English. Chinatown wasn’t isolated or insular as one would imagine. Many whites frequented the establishments and partook in the illicit activities so there would have been a cross exposure to language and other things.

The ragtime style choice of music accompanying this video with these mugshots from the late 19th and early 20th century Americana is very nostalgic, classy, befitting its period in time and match this content. You should study to become a movie director or at least be a movie consultant for anything AsianAmerican organize crime movies.
