Synopsis:

Actually this is the part right after he realized she was the love of his life...in those ancient times, he never saw her face(she is a highborn &he a prince) but they interacted w/a screen b/t them &w/letters...she had disappeared when her family was framed for treason, her family killed. She returned as a servant to try to get evidence to clear her family name. He didn't know she was that lady, though even as a servant, he still fell in love w/her... there's a lot of depth to their characters that's just too complex...I feel sorry for both of them. This series was just so good but so very sad &upsetting 😢 She entered the palace under a false pretense & name so he never knew who she really was. He always had enemies, assassins, backstabbers, and schemers against him, so having this unknown maid in his palace was driving him crazy but he still fell for her. I wish she'd told him who she was a lot earlier, but ofc, then we wouldn't have the drama that we got... Also, he actually tells her he won't say he's sorry bc he did what he did...he won't explain himself bc it's a moot point. His past was terrible and I agree he was a jerk at times but too many layers to unravel here. He too was the love of her life😭

So times enough should be enough even if it’s a misunderstanding sometimes it’s better to just walk away and just let go!!!! How much hurt and humiliation is enough to call it quits!!! At this point it’s not being in love it’s self hate!!! How can you love someone so much that you’ll go though so much pain, torment and humiliation as if loving yourself is less than the love you have for the person who treated the cruelest! 😒🤢🤮

I think this is in the old days where women didn’t know anything about feminism, we just bow to this men, but maid Gu is very clever and able to maneuver herself and educated person who knows the political move she needs to do, because she’s an insignificant and use that as an advantage

watched this whole drama S1 and S2 this drama was certainly grim and exhausting to watch and not for the faint hearted.. this kind of drama can only command the very best of actors and this drama had them all .. ML and FL were fantastic together..especially the FL Li Yitong .. seen her in a couple of dramas now and she is so versatile in her acting .. this was right up my street to just sit and watch some great acting ..

This drama was just...so intense & so draining. i felt very bad for both of these leads...though at times he was out of control, part of me empathized bc he grew up w/so many schemers, assassins, backstabbers and a horrible father... he didnt trust anyone easily & the FL wouldn't tell him who she was, using a fake name to enter into the palace as a servant to investigate into her family's "treason" & execution. Unfortunately, he didn't realize that she was the love of his life for various reasons🥺 This drama was the epitome of TRAGEDY done so well😢.. all the actors did a stellar job...their characters were very complex & multilayered. The ML prob had PTSD growing up in this palace environment w/that father, the emperor. At the end of S1, i wasnt sure how i felt. Definitely exhausted😔... there was some vindication, so i felt some hope finally, but after everything that's happened, not happy but maybe a sigh of relief? for the leads😮‍💨 after S2, i definitely was upset😭 so tragic!

Actually it's pretty normal for actors enjoy a role that's a sharp change from normal. It lts them do different things, and also helps keep them from being typecast into a single type of role.

This is not a happy story and me personally absolutely loved it. This was hard to watch in some places but no one should comment on it until they have watched the entire show. An absolute masterpiece! Brilliant acting bringing out an interesting even though incredibly sad twisted and at times violent story. Luo Jin is excellent in this drama. His every move is that of a true actor, he draws you into his world and before you know it, you are crying with him or rejoicing with him whenever he lands a win. The settings were bleak the atmosphere was throat clogging a constant cloud of grey was hanging over the heads of all involved, the costumes were simple no elaborate hair pieces which I hate to see anyway, the details of tradition is amazing. All the actors were just superb, the king we may or may not like his character but his acting was excellent. So many people are swayed by the leading actors looks the beauty of the female lead. For me its window dressing not the heart of the person. This is that and more. There is no knight in shining armour. We have a broken and down trodden man who is gentle in his ways been treated like dirt by his father a brother who has harmed him none stop but he battles on and the fact that we see the man cry and he does it so well you can feel his despair his anguish his pain his sorrow his anger. Some of the things he did are horrific but coming from a place we gradually understood, it didn't make it right on any level. These were different times different rules. I was hoping so much for a happier ending though as the hero and heroine went through so much. However I also think it was a just ending especially the king because he did that he destroyed his son she didn't do it his brother didn't do it his father did and for all of that he did he has to suffer the rest of his life in pain that was the ending and deserved One of the best Chinese drama's by far I hope they make more like this drama! A DEFINITE MUST WATCH. If you're expecting hearts and flowers and all that's good in the world DO NOT WATCH THIS. This is not a love story

it’s hard to sum up this drama .. Royal Nirvana .. look up mydramalist and read the details of the drama .. but be prepared for a roller coaster.. this is not for the faint hearted just in case you decide to watch it ..

Дурацкая дорама. Актёр сыгравший принца играет слабых мужчин. В этой дораме он тоже слабак довёл девочку до смерти причинил боль поиздевался предал. АКТЁР Чжен Е Чен. Кузена принца и Генирал отыграл свою роль как всегда великолепно. Этот фильм стоит посмотреть только из за Чжена Е Чен. Е Чен сделал все и вытянул этот фильм до уровня чтобы его досмотрели и обсудили. Ну если повторно посмотрели то только сокращеном виде фильм нудный

Он вообще наверное такой. Актёры часто играют себя, не понимая себя. Его герои часто слабые люди, прагматичные. Это только в этой дораме он остаётся с любимой, хотя самоубийца. Хоть пишут что с женой Тянь они идеальная пара, это вызывает немного удивления. Она раздражает своим зазнайством, а это же не от большого ума. 😊. Но только если ему вообще наплевать на неё, главное внешне ничего, то можно тянуть до старости, создавая иллюзию идеальной пары. Жизнь будет долгой и нудной, но месяцами на съёмках с разными такими же актрисами время пробежит
