This is part of a longer drama called World of Love. This is the point where the FL's bubble officially popped. She was already depressed and now this. I get why she didn't want to wake up. Quick summary: He didn't want to marry her. He wanted to marry the dukes daughter. The duke and him make a plan to use her and get rid of her, but after the Ml and Fl have married and gone through some stuff, he falls in love with her. He thinks his dead mom wanted him to take the throne, plus he's pissed at his dads handling of the bad stuff between him and his step mom. Eventually there is a Happy Ending. I definitely have some issues with the Ml and the way he handles things, but it's still a pretty well acted and written drama. One of the only ones I've seen with this lead actress where she eventually gets a happy ending.

I think overhearing the discussion between him and the Duke was just the absolute cherry on top of her disillusionment. When she turned toward the door she was so calm, almost welcoming death to stop her pain.

She's in love. This is the point where the rose colored glasses don't just come off they're obliterated. He is definitely in the wrong, but by this point in the show, he's actually in love with her and just after his dad cause of (well-earned) anger and manipulation. She was already depressed about the baby, and at this point, I think she just didn't want to live.

I think he's selfish and angry, not so much bad. He's pissed at his dad, which made him easy for the duke to manipulate. He's wrong for trying to use the Fl, but she's also wrong for pushing so hard, knowing he didn't love her in the beginning.
