Hello, Ms. Ling! This "double cooked cod" dish is truly healthy and tasty. "Healthy" because we do need more seafood in our diet! Having tried it with Alaskan Halibut fish, a firmer flesh fish or Artic Char is a lovely treat with the black bean and Sichuan spiciness. This looks delicious - I've been looking for a recipe where the fish was dry-fried like this; all I kept finding were water-boiled sichuan fish recipes that weren't twice-cooked. I will certainly try this out, thank you! And subscribed.

That looked delicious, I might give it a try even though my family doesn't really like 'burny' foods very much. I thought this was a good solution combining the English and Chinese in one video, it saves the trouble of having to put up 2 videos or using subtitles.

This looks amazing! When I was in China, around Shanghai and Ningbo, restaurants would serve a dish of spicy peanuts in what I think was a vinegar sauce. Also had some chopped hot peppers. Do you have any recipes for that?

I like the recipe but I don't eat hot pepper. I would simply eliminate the spicy seasoning.

You may find spicy bean paste online, doubanjiang, which is a must the dish. If you really can’t find, you may use any chili sauce or paste you have.

Greetings to your English and the foods you cook. The only drawback is that the videos are too long with bilingual vocals. You may try speak one and put another with subtitles on the screen, or alternate. Three minutes are perfect.

Then I made two versions, but editing was very time consuming. Now I’m back to one English version with both English and Chinese subs available. Regards, Ling

Hi Lin, I don’t think my fish came out as good as yours. Could you please text me the name of the fermented bean sauce and the Chile bean paste. Also the exact measurements. How much Corn starch and wine. My fish dish came out too Dark and pastey. Than you.

You may add soy sauce but we don’t normally use oyster sauce for double cooked recipe 😊
