Why I'm NOT feeling These! Nike Air MAX 90 GORE-TEX OLIVE GTX - ON FEET and IN DETAIL

Just got my Infrared Gore-Tex today... absolutely gutted they aren't comfortable, really hard fit, and no 'give' at the front, they feel longer than other 90s, and quite rigid... Never missed an infrared drop in a long time and may have to send these back 😭

I'm with you - there was just something off about these...I really wanted to like the olive pair but the shape and fit just wasn't right for me and I love am 90s but these just didn't hit the spot. Good to hear it isn't just me 😂

Am sure the toe box had to be done that way is because of the Gore Tex plus other material underneath it which adds bulk, so to compensate they had to design a stockier toe box.

I’ve got his exact pair, I love the shoe but for me comfort is a big problem. I’ve owned numerous pairs of 90’s and they’ve been super comfy. Maybe the materials are more rigid but they do hurt my feet most steps.

I sent mine back for this very reason... Infrared drops usually sell out everywhere within a day or so, these are now on sale everywhere so I think most people have had the same issue. I always wanted a 'weather proof' version of the infrared, just didn't expect the fit to be unwearable.

Have you tried these ones and how have you got on? I generally find AM90s to be some of the comfiest maxes...

How's the fit? Were these true to size? I heard these were snug and would need a half size up for wide footers.

True to size I found them. I would recommend sticking to your normal am90s size

The recrafts for me didn't sit with jeans as well and I just didn't like how they fitted! Last air max 90s I had in the "old" shape were the vinyl pack so quite excited to grab a pair of these and see how they fit

non goretex trainers start stinking the minute they get wet, and I end up throwing them away. Especially if I'm on holiday and the hotel doesn't provide a radiator for me to dry my stuff. (Many good hotels don't). Just bought a pair of air max goretex, and am hoping these will last me a couple of years. Apart from my fear of wet trainers, there's the fact that a pair of air max I had a few years ago started squeaking. (Maybe the air bubble got popped).

I hear you and I think you're right gore tex is the way to go for effective water proofing. On balance I just think I'd rather get a gore tex walking boot from a specialist like Timberland for 80£ rather than £164 on a half water proof trainer from nike.

Gore tex allows your feet to breath(sweat) but doesn't allow water to come in because sweat droplets are smaller than rain droplets...BUT ANYWERE there is leather covering the gortex,defeats the purpose of gore tex..the color is killer..good interview..subscribed

They fit tts - maybe a little roomier than the recrafts. Definitely no issues with the sizing 👍🏽

I’ve got these ones black honeydew anthracite. Their toe box is higher maybe because of gore tex layer.

Tried a pair on in footasylum usually 90‘s are my true to size fit but I had to go half size up didn’t like the toe box shape or the overall fit so decided against.
