I love that big secondary red flares on the 25mm. I actually won a the contest where Chiopt gave a % discount on the set at launch, but I wanted to see some test footage because the price point was still over 5000$ usd, guess I should've taken the chance, they look great!!

Question : How are the focus marks/focus rotation distanced out? Macro primes tend to have really nice distances between 1-2m and close focus but really poor and short rotation on the barrel from 1-2m to infinity. Would love to know this detail! Great video as always

honestly its pretty useable from a focus pulling standpoint, but i will say the 35mm has a slight grey area going from say 5-15 ft. The others are better but still the rotation is mapped for macro vs long side of the lens. So smaller movements from 5ft to infinity.

How do these compare to the Nisi Athenas? These look really nice and I own the Athenas. Would be good to know if this would be worth the sell and upgrade (if I had money to burn)

@@SWATxPolicy I’d say NiSi is probably a “better” set in terms of overall performance, but these have more look and macro capability so it depends on how you judge which is better.

@@NorthwestCameraCo thanks for the quick reply! Yes I noticed too that there is no Ultra-wide in this set like the Athenas. If this had that and I didn’t have a kit already, I’d hop on these ASAP.

Are these just rebranded Sirui Jupiter Primes? Like the Sirui 28-75 and Chiopt 28-75?

Looking at it now it seems they share quite a lot. I know the two zooms do have some aethetic difference. We have both. I’ll ask chiopt and see if they can share any info.

Guys, to see the 3D pop effect, you need bushes or trees in the background! Seriously, what are you doing? This is a test of cinema lenses, not a photo!
@NorthwestCameraCo5 ай бұрын
@@ggdfggdfgdffgfddg34 that’s why we put trees in the background of our studio testing. And why we shoot outside.
