Do you know if using it with the Atomos V Ultra removes the 8k crop when shooting pro res raw?

These might be my favorite tuned lenses you guys have cooked up! Love the decontrast, the distortion, the lenses seem super sharp in the middle for an anamorphic which I love.

Hello Northwest Camera Co. Just my comment but : Is there anyway you could replace the huge orb reflections in flare (not really nice), and replace the IRIS so that it can produce some rainbow flares ?

I absolutely cannot afford these but they would work so well for a project I want to do in a few years

I hope you guys do a V35 pass on the Blazar Catos. Would love some more interesting classic blue flares. They'd be like budget Kowas without the mumps.

Might have to put it an order in these gree too. But I was confused, I thought the original covered only S35

with how bad blazars are it’s pretty insane how hard everyone pushes them. As a rental house, I get it. Capitalize on these people with no budget and their misplaced hype. but apart from that we ought to be more honest about the quality of those $800 lenses.

Pyxis is not one I’d recommend bm has all these yters talking about how great it is but there is a reason sales is meh. Tested it myself and I’d rather get an fx3 or even a Fuji xh2s which I own and blows the bm out the water.

"BM Pyxis: Should you buy the C400 instead?" Well that aged like milk. Definitely thought my C400 would do better than the Pyxis? All good. I get it. The RED is probably the right choice all things considered. I have yet to get my hands on any RED... Nice roundup.

How do you find the 21 compared to the others? Is it warmer? And just as sharp?
@seanroymedia358014 күн бұрын
Thank you for these video. They’re really helping me decide weather or not to buy this set. Let me ask you something; I’ve got like 3 to 6K to invest in an anamorphic set. I’m basically decided on blazar or lowa, but are there any other sets you can recommend that have characteristics of the blazer, but maybe a bit better quality overall? I want a set that looks truly anamorphic (stretch factor/oval bokek) but that isn’t too soft. I’m trying to not be too picky, but I can’t find the perfect lens that sits between the blazers and the DZO’s in terms of price 😅
@seanroymedia358014 күн бұрын
Looking for Blazar’s more attractive taller brother basically.

The Laowa Nanomorph LFs come to mind, but they might be a bit too clinical, if you know what I mean. The Pavo's are great, but I agree, they aren't really what I'd call "budget" lenses

Dynamic Range seems pretty thin compared to competitor (more and less expensives).
@NorthwestCameraCo19 күн бұрын
@@Miniaminism to be fair we only tested highlight recovery. Which Pyxis does out perform against it. The fx6 and c80 are almost identical. In terms of under exposure, we will post tests later but the fx6 and c80 are almost the same again but have better shadow recovery than Pyxis. So just different distribution of over/under in each camera.
@Miniaminism19 күн бұрын
@@NorthwestCameraCo Thanks for the information, interested to see those test then, because the C80 seems to start to lose highlight detail at +3 stops ! That's very thin !
