I called a local tree service and was put on their list. The drop was free and landed where I needed it to be. The load was huge and took us several days to get distributed. The chips were smelly trees, probably olive. The very best is pine, pinon, or spruce. Smells good and looks better. Unfortunately, the best chips are in the mountains and I don't have a truck to get them as they no longer deliver. However, the smelly chips eventually settle down and they have done a great job keeping the weeds at bay and the yards looking good.

It's been a little over 2 months since I made a Chip Drop request and still nothing. I refreshed the request twice and even included a tip that they could have upon delivery. Contacting a local arborist seems like a more reliable option.

yes, your experience is not unusual. My neighborhood the exact same experience. Many cities have options also. I would call your local city that handles fallen tree limbs and such and tree trimming. Especially with all these big storms blowing through now.
