I read these comments before I watched the video and I expected these people to be horrible but they weren’t. They probably loved the house but went by everyday to see it. Some people just aren’t good at acting surprised. They did seem happy with the results though

I'm from U.K. and I've watched every single episode. I used to watch all of the house renovation shows at some point, but now it's Chip and Joanna only. I love Joanna's taste and style Chip is hilarious the kids are gorgeous and The Morrison's house is so beautiful and one of my favourites. Watching it on You Tube now all over again.💗🇬🇧

Wow! That second house is my fav! absolutely beautiful! I love how bright and open it is. If that was my house I would be ecstatic! Can you imagine Christmas there?!! Omword it would be so spectacular! The first house Is not my style, I don’t like retro but it turned out so beautiful as well. Another amazing transformation. The house looks very high-end fancy, but still got that charming country house feel. I love the long wall of windows in the living room. I love the floors. I really like the wood/tile combo near the front door. It looks great, but i wonder if it could get slippery coming in on a rainy day. In another reno they did a similar wood/tile combo that i think was better because there was more wood, less tile in the combo. This one has more tile. I love the colour palette used of light woods and white. It’s simple but elegant. I could live there 😍

Omg all y'all talking about the family's reactions. It's been said multiple times by people on the show that the 'reveals' are scripted and filmed multiple times. They've seen the place throughout the reno lol. Some people just ain't good actors, but it doesn't mean they don't love the house!

Never heard of German schmear but I do know that German chocolate cake has nothing to do with Germany. The cake uses German's Chocolate baking bar. Until recently, it was the only brand baking bar available in my area (East Coast, US), esp in the unsweet variety. It is a chocolate bar developed by Sam German who wasn't even German.

I think they made up the term. Not a good term. I've heard it called mortar smear. It's been around a long time. Just a way to partly cover the bricks, and make it look a little old.
