It's really hard to catch up with TSMC because, for instance, their machines use a mirror lens that's so hard to make there's only one company capable of manufacturing them: Zeiss. BTW, TSMC doesn't produce the foundries - they are produced by a Dutch company created by Philips and that is now called ASML. There's one thing that can cause ASML to be challenged: the US blockade against China import of ASML machines.

Intel released a few million CPUs with defects in the silicone dies - the chips inside the packaging. It's unfixable - all they can do is replace them or get their clients to get the CPUs running slower. Intel has some nice stuff under their sleeves and I think they'll recover if they survive. One of their tricks is a very low power GPU specialized in vide encoding and it fits well with Virtual Desktop services.

The original INTEL CPU'S have ONE Pipeline inside the registers if it. AMD (British Own) has TWO Pipelines (copies). The latest CPU's manufacture somewhere around the globe have 4 Pipelines (call cores). The planned CPU's for AI could have as many Pipelines as the technology can afford My invention is superior in design at this moment!
