It took advantage of that by having most of the world's scientists and engineers migrate into the country and taking all the military hardware secrets of the Nazis and Imperial Japan (see" Operation Paperclip") under its wing. WW2 was unplanned but the aftermath was certainly something that the U.S. grabbed with both hands and ran away with all the chips and cards.

What we need is an international currency that is managed by multiple countries around the world, to prevent this type of monopoly, profiteering and exploitation. Its either we go back to Gold, or Cryptocurrency like BitCoin or Ethereum get chosen, or we have a whole new currency that no sole country has full control over. The BRICS need to make this happen, to create a fairer world.
