Ryan larson we don’t use rice bran oil. Unless in a different region, y’all use different oil. In Illinois, we use canola oil. And we drizzle it on top of the rice once it’s cooked.

As a former grill master/kitchen manager of Chipotle, we just drizzle oil on top before we take it out of the rice cooker. The ingredients are correct, just not the amounts. Almost there. And if you want the recipe for our guacamole, let me know! It’s very simple as well!

I found a recipe somewhere that requires “browning” the rice before you add water. This way you get a an even creamier rice, because it’s more like risotto. Awesome video! I’m so over my plain owe rice I make. This looks tasty 😋 Can I replace jasmine rice with brown rice??
@KAITLYNTAYLOROFFICIAL3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! Yes you can swap out for brown rice 🤗👏🏼 enjoy!!!
@62360033 жыл бұрын
Yes, just keep in mind that brown rice needs just a scosh more water than white. Also "proper" Chipotle rice uses rice bran oil, a blend of lemon and lime, and the salt is added during the mixing process, not that those are huge differences.

Does it have to be Jasmine rice? Can basmati rice be used?
@KAITLYNTAYLOROFFICIAL4 ай бұрын
Sure! That’s totally fine! 😄

Oh the bay leaf that’s where that extra flavor comes from, thanks for the recipe

Do I need the bay leaf?
@lilyhoneybee46763 жыл бұрын
@@ketchup4659 you don’t need it but it will change the flavor without it. But if you want chipotle’s official recipe then it calls for the bay leaf
