I have a PTO mounted chipper with hydraulic feed on my tractor. Any live, green branches need to dry at least a couple months before chipping. I’ve learned the hard way, numerous times. Never any fun clearing a jam.

Good tip. I’ve learned that thicker branches work much better, even if green. But the really thin sprigs just jam the machine up.
