Thanks for the videos. After a 47+ year hiatus from building models, I'm starting to build them again. Things have really changed in the industry since the 1970's. I know I've spent well over $1K just getting ready to build my first $30 kit, LoL. Found your site and subscribed since you provide a lot of valuable information and insight into many model building topics I have questions about. I have 6 Bandai "Star Wars" kits waiting to be built and will be starting one of them soon. I figured watching your techniques will help prevent me from making too much of a mess on them, LoL. Thanks again and keep up the great work! Eric

Thanks so much your kind words! I'm glad you find the videos helpful. I was in a similar boat, coming back to the hobby in 2006 after almost 25 years out of it. The changes then were astounding, and have only continued since! Keep focused on the fun! Thanks for subbing, watching, and commenting! I am grateful.

Great tutorial on this technique, thanks for demonstrating it. You do a great job of both showing and explaining the process, I need to get better at that in my videos. I do hear a lot of folks downplaying dry brushing but, I agree with you, I think they may not understand it. It's another tool in the kit, they all have their uses. I have used these techniques for years and I'm always eager to learn more. What are you using for your order-less thinner? I've always used basic lacquer thinner and lighter fluid but now that I'm older the fumes from the lacquer thinner are starting to get to me. ;^) Have a great day.

Thank you Jon. I have tried this, but the sponge I am using seems to be too dense and the chip pattern is too predictable. I was able to correct some using a paint brush but I'll look for a better sponge material.

Make sure to rotate the sponge a bit between dabs... That will help! Thanks as always!
