me too...most utubers just hit the speedy gonzalez speed switch...like if they do not want no one to learn anything from them...but my guess is that they want us to watch their videos, endure the ads, so they collect the money and that is the end of it. I believe if i am going to invest my time i want to learn something to enrich my life...

I listened a few times, but couldn't quite make out what you were saying when rolling on the top coat. "use a texture roller, or even a 'mow texture roller' ...... ?? What is that? Love the results! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

I use DIY paint which is clay-based paint which doesnt require adding clay since it's the primary ingredient. In case people dont want to mix their own. I tend to make a mess. Great tutorial.

I was confused as well. I did some research and most of the water paints are clay based not just dixie pigxie or Anne ,,, or any of the ones that they advertise on this videos.

hen you distess dinning table do you usually do the top or leave the finish just there. Mine is cherry wood so not sure how good it would look with distessed. What about painting the top a solid color? The ones I have seen usually seen have a solid top. Another thing is that first coat you applied looked so dark then dried so light then after you aplied the other colors it looked gray! Scares me that my colors wont turn out how I want hem because that first coat looked nothing like it did in the jar! Also I heard people say that when using chalk paint you dont have to sand first because it sticks so well. If not for that this would be a breeze and very quick. My first project is a very big dinning table and a long buffet table. How important is it to sand first?

This seems to be the fasted method. I just watched one where she added the paint layers and chipped it back off but instead you are applying it so that it looks like it has been chipped. She used crackle as well. I think it would have looked cool to add that crackle look to the last layer! I am thinking of doin my dinning room table distressed and coastal looking because I cant find any to buy! I have seen a lot of sideboards and chairs but no dinning tables on wayfair or overstock or any furniture stores beside Kanes and it is to small. Apreciate you doing this video, I was about to change themes to peacocks with a formal set instead of this look that I love! I know I can do this!

L❤️❤️KS amazing! I have been looking all over the Internet for that block you used: Amazon, Michael's, Walmart Hobby Lobby, and no one even pulls pictures up pics. What is its technical name, or do you have a link where you purchased yours??? Do you think I could use a spackle knife instead of a wood block? Also, I will be hand sanding my two pieces. I want to take off some of the darkness as well the original sheen, so what grade of sanding paper would you recommend? In addition, can I finish with clear wax, or do you recommend a liquid? Lastly, how many ounces of bentonite would you use for 1QT?

We really need a lot more ugly crappy looking things in our homes. Dingy and dirty makes a really good look?
@CeCeReStyled
@CeCeReStyled 2 жыл бұрын
‘Ugly and crappy’ is subjective. One might say it also describes your attitude but that is also just an opinion. And opinions vary amongst individuals. I’d imagine that I might find your furnishings unsightly personally. However, I realize that keeping that to myself is the more mature thing to do. Because there is no scenario having an outcome in which I read a rude comment and think to myself “you know what? I’d better get that piece of furniture back from the person who paid for it and loved it so I can repaint it based on a KZbin troll comment”

Since that's how feel about this look then you should love it!!! It's just like your "ugly crappy" attitude/opinion!!! If you don't like this look then don't watch the video or leave ur rude opinion. Anyways, LOVE it and you did a AWESOME job❤👏and ur AMAZING reply to the article crafty ugly crappy opinion that ppl don't need anymore of!!!

Artsie Crafty, I suppose that the term ‘ugly and crappy’ would depend on your definition of “our” homes… quite obviously, it wouldn’t look good in your home (or you wouldn’t have commented as you did); on the other hand, in “my” home (and the home of CeCe’s client) at least, it would look stunning… and I would pay money for it, as I’m sure her client did. Looking “Dingy & dirty” in your home, would translate to looking “aged & weathered” in mine; and I can assure you that there isn’t a great deal of dirt (or dinge) in my home. I think we all know that arts & crafts (or Artsies & Craftys) are subjective yet your comment, extremely objective… you have clearly offered us your ‘interpretation’ in place of your ‘intelligence’. I believe CeCe’s guidelines for leaving comments, included the terms ‘kindness and respectfulness’… neither of which you have extended here, but I do hope at least, that you made yourself feel warm and fuzzy instead of dingy and dirty. Have a great day. 😊
