One if the things I love most about the terreria development is that they don't really seem to push an update just to " get it put on time". As far as I can remember it's really just been that updates are done when they get done....something I really wish other games would do. The updates being amazing is a big bonus too lol.

Honestly, I feel like, even with all the joking about final updates, there isn’t really gonna be a true final update, at least not for a while. It seems like the devs are all still really passionate about the game (that, and we’re reaching a ‘Boy Who Cried Wolf’ situation with the claims of final updates.) Not that I don’t think Re-Logic isn’t going to move on to other projects, but I feel like the game is gonna keep going at least to some degree for a while

I think the devs have tried to move on and make other games, but they never worked out as well as Terraria did. Remember Pixel Privateers? Remember Terraria Otherworld? Even within Terraria, some things didn't really work out. Remember that Terraria had an animated series?

The first time I got 100% achivements was a few years back and decided to step back for a bit. Then more were added with the new update and it took me a while before I wanted to play again but eventually caved in and managed to get the 100% again a couple months back. As much as I love Terraria I can't help but feel a bit of dread having to grind again.

Remember how in Starbound you could craft and find musical instruments? Then you could play classical songs like say Toccata and Fugue in D. And every instrument sounded very unique. You could play Beethoven on an Electric guitar and it sounded cool. People could create thier own songs that could be added to the game by dumping it into a folder. I really want this for Terraria. It seems like there's a very real chance that every boss in the game will have it's own music, all that's left is The Destroyer, the Frost Legion, and the Lunatic Cultist. And we can be reasonably certain that Destroyer gets its own theme given that the other mech bosses already have theirs.

A small issue I've always had is that WATERFALL NOISES DON'T REPEAT FULLY!!! When you listen to it, it cuts out at the very end of the loop. It's bothered me so much my last playthrough when I lived next to a waterfall!

This game has been my favourite game since it was released over a decade ago, and the love that its creators continue to show it despite saying they were finished I don't know how many times makes me so happy. They listen to their playerbase and do their best to make changes that benefit everyone from casuals to hardcore gamers. I'll take all the "last updates" they want to keep pumping out, I love this game and I love the developers!
