India still produces electricity by coal. India has flood and famine at same time in different states. India has most polluted cities in world. India has very low per capita income, which means, lot of people, below poverty line. And poverty struck people cant afford any greener alternative. India has cleared out green cover for mindless highways and roads. Only good thing with poor crowd is that public transport occupancy is great.
