People can rail on disco all they want to, but as a musician myself I can tell you that's some pretty damn good musicianship, arranging and orchestrated music in those clips....that's REAL musicians playing that stuff, not a bunch of electronic/backing tracks/pitch correction/auto-tune/techno, whatever you want to call it, like a lot of today's "music" is. My hat's definitely off to Alan Silvestri, he did a masterful job each week for this show.

The only cop show I ever saw that plays disco music just prior to an crash, which makes you think that's how the accident happened, driver distracted.😂😅😅

I remember I saw CHIPS when I was 8 years old. I wanted to become a motorcycle cop! At the same time I was watching the old show EMERGENCY, Does anyone ever remember that show? No? Ok, I get I am to old! Anyway, I just wanted to say I love CHIPS and I always will!!!!!!

One thing I liked about CHiPs. Ponch and Jon never had to draw their sidearms. Only Baricza did once on Danny Bonaduce's character.

I've heard two different reasons why further CHiPs seasons are not being released according to Larry Wilcox's facebook fan page ... One is State of California wants royalties from sales, the other is the audio tracks for seasons 3-6 were completely lost in a mishap ... How true this is I have no clue lol

If I recall correctly, the roller skater had been stealing jewelry or something and escaping via get-away roller skates. Ponch and Jon had been trying to catch him for days, but the guy'd always escape using the same escape route. The scenes in this video are a mix of the different days that the CHiPpers had tried to apprehend the guy, which explains the different clothing he was wearing. Not sure about the knee pads though.
