Back then, life was different. Everything was cute. There were only three channels and this show was cozy and sweet. In the rain and fog, we warmed our hands with our breath and raced home to watch this comedy. I remember every one of them with great nostalgia. May their souls rest in peace.

A real gem of a show. Brilliantly scripted and acted with each 100% believable. How toxic is modern society which would never allow a remake of this show or if it was remade would not be even 5% as funny as this show was. If made today it would be a sick parody and unrecognisable. And we claim we are so progressive today. Society has degenerated rather than advanced. Just a small clarification to say he was working as a Mini Cab driver after hitting hard times! In 1997 he was found dead in his house! In February 1997, police discovered Evans's body in his living room after going to the house to tell him that they had recovered his stolen car, which had been reported missing the day before. The cause of his death has never been confirmed. The coroner found a blow to Evans's head and also found high levels of alcohol in his system. A short will was found on a table next to his body and a spilt packet of aspirin tablets was found on the floor, bearing a pre - decimalisation price tag (i.e., before 1971), indicating that the pack was at least 26 years old; although the coroner concluded that he had not taken any of them. An open verdict was eventually given. An 18-year-old boy was arrested but later released without charge due to insufficient evidence. Evans was cremated at Golder's Green Crematorium. May he rest in peace!🙏🙏🙏

I showed this show to my daughters and they love it too and I don’t remember how many times I watched this show … absolutely love it
One of the greatest shows I watched when i was first learning English. I had no idea half of the cast were already dead when I was watching it. RIP you made great comedy for generations.

Great nostalgic video but the ‘Age Then 57’ photo for Harry Littlewood is actually sports presenter Dickie Davis

I first watched this as a child in the 90s. I am now watching it on KZbin. I didn’t know the program was from the 70s What a great show. Thank you for this video!!

I am watching this show even now 2024 and I find it really pure and nice to watch. Much much better than other today’s shows. Back then things and people were more innocent.

May all the souls of the deceased rest in peace. Was rewatching the series when your video got recommended. Ali and Mr Brown.😢 Mr Brown died in his 50s that really young. God bless all of them for their service in the arts. MYL is a timeless piece🙏🏾💜🕊

I discovered this marvellous show in November 2023 through KZbin and now I am stuck with it watching all the episodes I could find on KZbin . It's sad we don't find this kind of comedic and marvelous genuine comedy again in the 21st century.

Simply nostalgic. It was a great entertainment. All characters were so lively. May God bless them all, those living and those who have passed away.

Françoise Pascal played the role of a Danielle. She is a Mauritius-born British actress, singer, dancer, fashion model, and producer. She is still doing well at the age of 74 Pik-Sen Lim as Chung Su-Lee reached the age of 79 and still fit. Unfortunately, Iris Sadler as Gladys, no longer with us. She died in 1991 @ the age of 82. Tommy Godfrey as Sidney passed away in 1998. Jacki Harding as Anna Schmidt - a stereotypical German who works as an au pair. In her introduction, she refers to “German efficiency” and, accordingly, Anna is a hard-working student, occasionally asking legitimate questions and as the series progresses, answering Mr Brown’s questions correctly. She's fit and fine at the age of 90

I don't know why I loved that sitcom. The whole sitcom was amazing. Sometimes I wish that was a real classrom and that I was a part of it. The whole sitcom was really heart touching to me.
