At 24:23, explaning the Scavenge Die (No.12) , is told that you can increase the Supplies Die (No.8) by 1. This seems contrary to the Reference Sheet which reads: increase Supplies by #. Also this die has a Side with a 3 which was not mentionend.

Scavenge has a 3 as well ;) Also, Troll call doesn't say you can draw fewer than 3 baddies from the stacks.

Troll Call: What about the initiative of the changed Baddies? Stay in position or change initiative to the value of the new Baddie?

If Carcass uses 'simulate' to gain rage 3 and gain additional 3 attack dice. Does he need 3 Dex to throw them?
@ChipTheoryGames
@ChipTheoryGames 6 ай бұрын
No Dex needed - the ability is granting Carcass straight Atk Dice, not increasing his stat.

If Carcass gains 'Compound', does he adjust his attack stat to the number of turns? (So it might be lower than the original value?) or he just gain additional dice(like 'rage')?

How do you manage defeated baddies when using Carcass in Build-A-Tyrant (B.A.T)? Does Carcass consider the defeated baddies this battle to be an empty stack until all 4 lab tanks are filled? This would make Solo very difficult as you’ll unlikely have >4 baddies in a fight.

When Carcass defeats a Baddie, he can choose to hook it. The S&D rules for BAT say that Baddies go to the lab if they would go to the defeated stack - if Carcass hooks them, he stops them from going to the defeated stack. Once he uses them, or if he doesn't hook them, they go to the lab. For any of Carcass's abilities that actually interact with the Defeated Stack, those are gonna be tougher in BAT because there's often not much of one. But I believe that only affects a few of his backup plans, and in trade he gets basically super control over what goes into the lab.

Does anyone else have any issues with this character? I only played one game with him so far and I felt that it was VERY hard to get baddies on the meat hooks and felt useless until the rest phase because I couldn’t cook anything. I’m still very hopeful that I maybe missing something and could find other uses but I felt that most of his skills involved having a baddie on the meat hook, you even need to use one in order to learn a new recipe but you need to train that before you can even roll it so first battle is a little awkward.

Carcass is definitely one of the trickier Gearlocs. It's all about managing your stats and trying to ensure that you're dealing the final blow to a baddie (even if that means letting a battle go a little longer than it needs to). I'd recommend checking out our recent Rage of Tyranny playthrough to see if that helps! kzbin.infocjS8TWSHSxs?feature=share

I've played about 4 games with him so far and he can definitely be tricky. I tend to go with an extra atk and def early on with dex so I can roll a lot more dice. The 3 attack will make it a lot easier to defeat the baddies to go onto meathooks, as well as extra potential for bones. More bones means getting your Gross food unlocked sooner and hopefully 4 bones more consistently to use Road Kill search getting some strong 5 pt baddies on hooks. If you can get it going, the cycle can be very satisfying and fun. I've had some epic turns of defeating a baddie, putting them on meathooks, discard them from hooks to learn a new recipe, get that same baddie back to meathooks by using 1 bone, cooking that baddie using fast food on the newly acquired recipe, and using that recipe in the same turn. It's amazing. But yea sometimes the dice just don't go your way, encounters say defeated baddies get turned into permanent rock, you have no baddies on meathooks, and no recipes prepared, and Carcass can turn into a hangry Gearloc lol Stick to it though dude, I think it took into my second playthrough we're I started to really like him.

I have only played Carcass twice, both solo. But I found him to be really strong and a ton of fun. Both times, I went for the Scavenge die early and used it each battle to get supplies. I didn't accept a result from the die unless it was a 2 or 3. Doing this and discarding a loot can get you an increase of Meat Hooks almost every day. While working on increasing Meat Hooks, I also invested on the first 2 purple dice to learn recipes. In particular, there is a recipe that permanently increases your health stat and another that heals you based on the baddies health that you cook. The thick skin one is also nice. Playing solo, you get all the killing blows (except for things like Fatigue), so it's easy to get baddies on meat hooks. But I imagine it's not that different in multiplayer since it's only 1 bone to use body harvest. I am hoping to try this out in multiplayer soon. I rounded out my build with Shelter and Hunger Strike. By the tyrant battle, Carcass was pretty much unstoppable. I can see him played using the other trees, but for me the entirety of the green dice tree was really useful and fun to use, and the purple one I only used to learn some recipes besides Gross Food.

The first bones ability confused me a bit. I thought there were only 1, 5 and 20 point baddies. But this skill talks about 3 point baddies.

Yeah, I've played him three times and initial experience is weak... very finicky. Couldn't get any recipies and by third play ended up just pumping base stats to keep him relevant. Or even alive. Can't compare to a nugget, gasket, or even base-box Locs.
