Again I return to hear this song. It's outstanding. I did eventually learn it on banjo and although it's nowhere near as fast as what you play, you were the inspiration. Thank you!

This version is the best I"ve ever heard as well. I've been singing this song in my head for days since I heard you play and sing. I'm going to learn it on the Banjo. One of these days I'll post my lousy version. Hopefully someone else will sing for me since I can't sing and play at the same time!!!!

You have a wonderful grasp on this song. Your joy for it shines through. You seem to cut a nice balance between American bluegrass and Irish folk song. I love this piece. You have delighted me with your version, sir. Thank you for a great musical experience.

I have heard many versions of this fiddle tune, and have been working on it, but never heard it in Drop D, and love your version.. Now, I got the lyrics too.. Wish me luck.. Wish I could slow it down, so I can figure out the lead work... Best to you and Thanks again for posting this ... PB, Vidalia Ga..

Very nicely done. You have a great talent. Are you playing that in D? I capo two and use a C form.

full of fun with endless variation thrown in. is this song english , irish , scottish or american? Any way, so far the english are in the lead (and I love good american flatpickers). Yes, its a sad fact; if you drink before breafast you are unlikely to sound like this fine chap.

Very well done.. most of the "pro's" don't play it this well.. you've got a double lick style very much like Norman Blake.. if nobody's mentioned that before, listen to Norman playing a similar song.. your "sanging" is good too.. heck, when can you book you? Pick on Brother

Strong Irish flavor to it. But that is not strange with Americana.
