I got a very rusty from my grandpa tools box. the handle was broken I decided to restore and make a new handle for it . After restoration the chisel is very Sharpe .#restoration

On the actual chisel head, I’d have run straight to my belt sander. That bottom needed ALOT more work before working with the stones.

It seemed like bent. Is it supposed to be that way? I don't know. Not judging. Asking for knowledge. Please don't consider it an insult of any kind. I'm just ignorant about this & trying to ask politely mentioning the truth. What it seemed to me may not be true at all or there can be a whole lot of reasons behind it or I may just be wrong. I fell no shame to admit that I don't know. I'm unaware of any knowledge regarding it. Please enlighten me.

Not bent, designed that way, you want the blade to be as flat to the working piece as possible so as to work with the shallowest angle possible.
