I think you are completely right about bringing 5 marches in SoC, but I also think you were right to tell new (lower power, low spend) players NOT to bring five marches in kvk1-3. Those players haven't finished their buildings. They haven't finished their tech. Their hospitals (presumably not maxed) are going to fill very quickly on the open field. Their marches will take very negative trades, filling their hospitals quickly and draining them of resources. That means one or two fights and they are done. Farm accounts is a solution to the resource problem, but I think these players are going to run out of speed ups quickly. By SoC, it's a different deal as they have had way more time to accumulate the necessary resources and speed ups. But early on, I think your previous recommendations are still best.

Agreed. I like the idea of what he's saying here, but I'm in my first SOC and still haven't finished maxing out infantry research (not talking about t5 research). So bringing a cavalry or archer march, which have much lower tech, would be suicide. And thats not even talking about equipment.

Still a problem as everything moves to season of conquest now so fast. As FTP entering HA for the first time still working towards starting my 25 academy and then getting my tech upgraded so can"t spend on crystal tech as all speedups already spoken for. going to get wrecked in field even more because of this so maybe you are right, I should bring fewer marches. I agree with u.. for my first soc, i brought 4 marches. 3 infantry and 1 archer. Damn it is suicide. Draining my speedups and rss so fast. So i decide, just play 1 type of troops but with more than 2 marches. Probably i bring 3 strong marches. For me, if u are in low power kd, bringing more than 3 marches for murderball is not good thing for low spend t5 user or t4 user. Low power kd just can make small size of murder ball.

I am a very low spender but I've been playing for a long time. Just finishing up March of the Ages. I only bring 2-3 Marches. Maxed Guan/ 5511 Leo and Maxed Alex/YSG for damage, Maxed Charles (gold keys)/Sun Tzu for tank, if needed. All with advanced or epic equipment for mobility. Those marches last a bit especially if I used expansion. My camp reserves never went down to zero. I get lots of positive trades even against fellow t5s bringing lots of their marches. I do not bring 5 marches because if I lost internet connection even for a bit, my hospitals will be filled up quickly. The only time my Alex/YSG died this KVK was when I was disconnected. Guan Yu/Leo was able to survive even when focused on a lot. I seldom used CM/ST because of relatively low damage. The other 2 marches, I reserve for rallies, flag reinforcement and resource gathering. I am now looking at CJ or Harald as inf upgrade. I am also considering to add a cavalry or archer march next KVK. XY/William is a beast. I used Saladin (5551) /Takeda (maxed) in my alt account, same KVK, and it was good for 1.8 million kills doing guerilla tactics. I killed a lot of underpowered marches, especially archers. I was not even able to use my CM/YSG to great effect in field battles. It will be very difficult for F2Ps to bring 5 marches in field battles.

When you get into season you now have access to the new mettas. So would it not be better to invest in gilgamesh or nebu instead of ramses. was thinking nebu ysg would be great and then eventually gilgamesh ramses. but if they only work maxed then other combos might be better? here is what I am thinking as ftp just entering HA for the first time now: richard 5511 joan, sun tzu martel 5511, trajan 5XXX aethel, alex 5521 ysg 5555. Still need to max Alex and don"t have a fifth march at the moment. Maybe Saladin William since you need fewer sculptures for something decent? but have to get saladin from sovereign keys. Just saw PsychOut's comment below and am in the same boat right now. so maybe just Alex ysg and trajan aethel for this kvk? to help the kingdom.

Great video, Chisgule! I migrated forward to k75 a couple months ago, and I realized I was really low power compared to the rest of the kingdom. Since then, I have been racing to up my power to a point that I could be competitive in a KvK. I've also been trying to create marches that focus more on buffing/debuffing. Right now I have 4 main marches: March #5 has been tricky for me to figure out, because archers don’t get a defense boost from joan and are more likely to get targeted. Right now I am planning to do an Artemesia-El Cid. That gets the defense tree, and 60% defensive stats. I’ve also wondered about pairing my Cid with either a Ramses or a Nebuchadnezzar, though that might be too squishy. I would love to hear input if anyone has any. Does this murderball sound viable, Chisgule?

I'm a new player and a spender. Kingdom has been only 3 days old and I'm dominating in my region with my already expertised Mina (lvl45) paring with CaoCao lvl 20. However, I've been wondering how marches work ? Like Mina/CC is a cav march, but do I have to put only Cavalry units in it or does mixed work too? Right now, I don't have enough cavalries to fill up the troops capacity of Mina 🥲 Hence I've to fill it up with infantries and archers

Passive stats will stack, like inf attack/defense/health. I think you're talking about that with richard and bjorn

@@Doubleplayer1000 only active skill does not stack. Like if you pair trajan and joan, they both have 1st skill boost rage, but only joan's 100 rage will be boost while trajan's 50 rage will not. Other passive skill could stack as normal

Even after 400+ days playing and low/mid spender I cannot sustain 5 marches for more than 2 days fighting :( Speedups for healing are the problem mainly, now also rss as T5.

I'm in kvk3. We entered Kingsland today. I'm using Beli/Baybars Alex 5552/Sun Tzu Herman/YSG maxed Aethel/Joan and I'm doing great. Not too positive trades, but enemy can't win the field when we have so many marches everywhere. (of course it only works in slightly more powerful enemy kingdoms, not against imperium kingdoms)

I’d run: Joan Constantine Richard Æthel Guan Alex Khan CC CM YSG This is so you split damage and utility up, so you have less no damage marches

Please cover Cyrus Kiera. Kiera skill damage bonus and any other skill damage bonuses also buff direct damage factors from passive skills. So Cyrus has 6 secs(give or take) of damage factors per cycle, the most of anyone comander which would make Kiera randomness of her passive skill be most beneficial with Cyrus

I get the idea of bringing 5 marches... and understand the reasons for recommending it. But it needs to come with the caveat that your whole kingdom, or at least alliance is behind using the strategy, because otherwise, as f2p, you'll be out of the fighting, within a couple of days decent fighting. The strategy depends on overwhelming numbers - which is not just a couple players switching to 5 marches.

Save all your gems for more than gems events, use the gems for VIP in the alliance and VIP shops. Get VIP 13 and you get 2 a day. After that, just compete daily, you don’t need to WIN every event, but being active you get a lot.

immigration is a must IMO. There isn't enough time for new players to aquire and upgrade commanders. Not to mention, most won't have t5 until atleast kvk 3. You absolutely have to move back if you want to be at all effective in kvk.

Friendly pointer to players and kingdoms entering SoC... You won't have access to all 4 wheels/mges before kvk4. My kingdom had an extra Attila mge, 1 archer, and 1 leadership mge before lost kingdom opened. I didn't have a chance to get Guan until well into kvk lol

you cannot realistically play without an alliance. Helps alone are insane value, and that's just the starting point. There's also alliance crates, barb forts, kvk, alliance events, etc. etc.

For me example I can't bring 5 marches and last 48 days like that. Last HA kvk I ran with 4 as long as I could, then started using 3 marches. And 3 works better for me anyway. Commander's are so soft targets that 4th and 5th March is asking deads.

3 marches for the average player you need 10 usable( min ) maxed commanders to run 5 marches. And don t forget about equipment, unless your kd is using a spam tactic but does your members have enough rss and speed ups to do it for long. Because the weakest marches gonna get sniped hoping city to city

Just saying, getting at least 5511 on any of the gold keys commanders is really difficult. I have played over 450 days and still only have Charles 5200, CC 5220, basically 0 5511 GK commanders

How is Constantine in here and Saladin inst, both mge Saladin 5551 is amazing late game as well. Much better investment than a 5511 Richard or Consta

Saladin 5-5-5-1 with Aethel as second. Trajan 5-5-5-1 (usable 5-5-1-1) with YSG or AE is good too.

@@Tom_TTT agree with that, but i still prefer Richard for the utility from his 1st skill (aoe slow and damage reduction) which has synergy with Æthel’s expertise
