I'm okay with that... Attila/Takada broke the game when they were released. A side from that: versatility. Arthur allows a new mechanic; while not alienating the skill damage meta players have built. Guan/Ragnar Prime+Scipio Huo/Nevsky+Joan Prime Trajan+Phillip/big skill damage Zhuge+Hermann Prime This is all high skill damage or a take more skill damage debuff. Smite meta already reduced the number players who would invest. True damage meta also reduced the number of players who would invest. Combo could reduce the number of players that invest, or Arthur secondary can be the new skill damage meta... Which will increase the number of players that invest.

Arthur is also great for F2p hes just so good at 5511 Nevsky/Arthur in my opinion is the new best Budget march for f2p cavalry. Nev at 5551 and Arthur 5511 great starting point

Is the butterfly an straight up addition or a multiplier. If it’s straight up adding a 20% chance of procing a auto attack effect, then subutai could easily be game broken with Attila, with constant 220 rage gain per turn, a permanent 100% all damage increase, 100% normal attack increase and 60% counter attack increase with 80% up time throughout a rally. Not to mention all of these will apply onto a 1000*3 combo damage factor

In 1v1, yes. In most field fights, yes. In certain murderball situations? Not necessarily, but Huo does so much single target damage that overall, that marches effectiveness is indeed best.

Joan/arthur is like liuche/alex. they don't have good report from 1v1 but the expertise of Arthur works on Joan's active skill so you have 25% chance to damage 3 troops with 1k damage(50% of 2k active skill damage). So if you plan to have 1 march that would be the go to. But if you plan to have 2 marches it'll be nevksy/joan and huo/arthur

I have been testing a lot of 5v5s with full gear sets.. I used Nev/joan huo/arthur wallance/liu ranger/scipio Zl/herman My friend used exact the same marches instead of wallance he used Philip II and I just kept losing from him when he used exact the same he would lose by a lot

According to Chis's stream, Nevsky Arthur only loses by a bit to Huo Arthur, so I'd say you could run that if you don't have Huo. But I always thought Joan wasn't a good primary. Ask about that in your kingdom chat if no one else replies.

Keep in mind, based by your asking this, that you'll likely be running Arthur as secondary. Not everyone has what Chis has, gear wise. So as long as you have a place to use Arthur right away as secondary, I'd agree with others saying Arthur.

Personally, I like it. Even though the rewards are trash, for me it’s like a mini-game where you can’t win anything interesting, but you can compete with your alliance members to see who beats who. Also, I get the impression that Lilith is increasingly releasing more events related to Canyon

Canyon is really an unrealistic 5v5 only because the order of attacking is so rigid. However, it has to be that way, because one's canyon team is defending attacks from an always the same setup. But it's fun within these parameters to see if one's team can defeat otherwise possibly superior teams. It's a fun challenge. Long ago, there was a Chinese whale streamer known for punishing his own kingdom if they did not do exactly what he wanted them to do. We faced them in kvk1, and it was great fun to periodically steal #1 from him in Lost Canyon. His response was always the same; spend, until he could retake #1. After which I would figure out how to win again. Of course, eventually he became unbeatable in that particular canyon, but it was fun to do. He had the name Bao in his handle, forget any other details. But canyon was always fun, getting to be a thorn in the side of all those who did not yet understand well certain synergies and canyonstrategies. Unfortunately, like all things ROK, every thing eventually succumbs to $$ in the end. No way around it unless you truly maximize everything you can get done in the game. Alas, I no longer have the time to do that, but occasionally pop in here because Chis's vids are fun to watch. 👍

Smite damage is nothing compared to combo. Combo is smite+rage engine+chances to proc skills. The sooner people understand this, the better.
