Technically speaking it is 40mm, it’s 42 mm if you take into consideration the crown guards, but it you measure the bezel, which is the visible part of the watch it’s 40. So, I guess you were kind of wrong? Not entirely wrong.

Dive - Omega SMP 300 white dial or green dial or BlancpaiN FF Bathyscaphe 38mm (but is more expensive than Omega) 3. Pilot/Field - IWC Mark XX green dial or Rolex Explorer 1 36mm Yeah I put Rolex Explorer in the Field category, for some it may not be a field watch but for me it is. 3,6,9 on the dial, very legible, 100m WR, screw down crown, screwed caseback and is a strap monster

@@nickbrooker1411 Ok, I mean, Seamaster 300M isn't a Rolex, but sure...all sports watches I guess doesn't make for an ideal 3-watch collection. Of course, it depends on your lifestyle. I use the Pepsi when I dress up to go to, say a wedding or the theater. With the jubilee bracelet, seems to work. The other two cover pretty much everything else for me.

Not sure why so many think that a collection should include a chronograph. Most people probably never use the chronograph function. I believe a diver / beater, a nice sports watch, and a dress watch is a well balanced three watch collection.

My perfect 3 watch collection. Speedmaster pro (Hesalite or Sapphire) Rolex GMT master II Rootbeer JLC Reverso duo face (because almost like a 2 for 1) when limited to just 3. Other than the Speedy these are not necessarily my favourite 3 watches. But they provide the diversity of 3 different brands, got a chrono and icon, and beautiful two tone kinda sports watch with a GMT function and a rectangular dress watch with 2 dial options to change things up a bit. The Reverso belongs on leather, the GMT on bracelet, and then the Speedy will look amazing on pretty much any strap option.

You could have a white dial watch to complete the collection and maybe a quartz movement so they’re not all manual/automatic. If you could stretch a bit over the 3K that means a quartz Cartier Tank or Santos.
